Think he got a touch but haven't seen the replay. Even if he didn't get a touch it's pretty much an assist even if not officially one as if he wasn't challenging for it the ball would never have arrived at Johansen.

Good performance no doubt, however I can't help but be frustrated by his lack of pace. Still wouldn't play him ahead of Griffiths at the moment.

He's finally eligible to play in the Europa now. This could be the platform to rekindle his fine form. A couple of goals against Inter would do the trick.

 

The last resort of yesteryear too. Knew the game was gone, when Lennon brought on McCourt.

Thankfully Guidetti is only on loan.

He's not scored in ages, I think it's something like 11 hours now from open play (and no, I am not saying free kicks don't count, it's just shocking that a striker hasn't scored from open play) and 9 hours without scoring at all.

I don't care if he made a few good runs. He got an assist, he played OK, hardly * "immense" like some people are saying all to save their own face.

 

His performance tonight was significantly better than his last 4 or 5 appearances. His work rate was good, he made some fantastic runs today (if you watch him in a game you will see he actually does, people aren't saying this because it sounds good), got an assist, a helping hand in Johansen's goal and was wrongly flagged twice.

If Griffiths had done the same people would have been creaming themselves. His lack of pace is annoying but you gotta give credit where its due. He had a good game tonight.
