Great to know you are so aware of Scepovic beforehand, although I would bet you needed google for him.

Think so unless I misread it. 12am would make more sense but you just never know

What about the day prior to deadline day mate. Could we not have inquired about Guidetti then. Or how about early in the day yesterday. Why leave it until the remaining few hours. That tells me that all the scouting we have done this summer, left us with Scepovic, and Scepovic only. We didn't have a plan B, and had his desired move to Getafe went through, we would have been left with what we had.

Give it the rest of the day 'till we find out what's happening. Looks to me like it's been held up by the football association.

If it happens brilliant, if not their's always January. Don't see the point in overloading on strikers again. If it was a freebie, yeah obviously their is a list:

    N'Guemo, Moritz, Collison....

Still a few good options out their, although i dunno how accurate this list is:

because man city probably wanted to see if they could sell him. When that never happened they accepted their only alternative and loaned him. people seem to be forgetting there's 3 parties involved in all transfers, not just Lawell and his cheque book

Looks like John won't be coming so we will have to go with the three strikers

Three strikers really should be enough if we are gonna stick with the 4-3-3, with Mubarak, Tonev/Forrest/Boeriggter/McGregor playing either side of.

That being said, I really * wanted to see Guidetti here :(

Because when one player moves on deadline it can set of a chain reaction of players becoming available

Aye, Man City are desperate for cash. If they had managed to sell him, the fee they would have received would have been similar to what Sheikh Mansour carries around in his back pocket. We left it too late. Had we asked yesterday morning, then the paperwork issue wouldn't have been a problem. As I said, I don't think we had a plan B after Scepovic, even though we have had all summer to look for potential targets.

We obviously didn't leave it too late - the lad was at Celtic park for a good wee while. Sure he didn't make the trip just for the * of it. If we couldn't negotiate an element of the salary then fine, at the time we wouldn't have been desperate with sceptic coming in. If on the other hand its just down to paperwork, then hopefully we can apply for an extension and see if through. If all parties are in agreement then i think he'll join. If he doesn't come it's because we couldn't afford him.

And by that i mean, we don't want to pay an as yet relatively unproven striker (one excellent season, but only the one, and a year of injuries etc.) more than the most senior players at our club. if the £30k + figure is accurate, i can't see us giving that to him. Max we'd pay ust be £15-20k, maybe £25k at an absolute push.

What is really annoying is that no one official has made any comment about the plausibility of this deal still going through.

    like:

"Celtic Spokesman: nah it's over ahm away for a wee cry masel"

    or
"Celtic Spokesman: we ur workin our baws af to still get this done!"
