    If it doesn't happen I think they'll need to confirm that was our thinking. What * idiot is going to believe we couldn't get paper work done in time. Did he not arrive here for talks at about 6?

    Would have rather we loaned Guidetti than waste 2 million on some unproven * who doesn't want to be here

    lets be realistic, lawells not * stupid, he knows that all the fans knew about him coming and were excited, finance wise its not exactly going to be the most expensive deal having him on loan is it. The logical answer is that someone at the sfa * up or lawell believes he has convinced guidetti to cancel his contract or something along that lines

    Lawwell made sure this was botched. * *.

    On the face of it a * ridiculous decision. Instead of jumping at the chance to sign one of the hottest prospects in European football (and potentially sweetning him to make him sign a pre-contract) who personally got in his car and drove his * up here, we hang about and wait for some unproven * who doesn't even want to be here.

    If Scepovic turns out to be a Bangura, Balde or Pukki then we're stuck with Stokes and Griffiths; our chances in Europe are * before a ball's kicked. Guidetti would have brought us goals, he's proven at a similar level and signing 2 new strikers makes it twice as likely that at least one of them will turn out. For Lawwell he would've restored the faith of a lot of supporters and would've made a killing in shirt sales as well.

    All this would've been avoided if Lawwell was willing to take a 20k a week gamble; what the * was he thinking. What's more, if we'd got Guidetti over the line nice and early we could've focussed our efforts on trimming the squad to make up for it and bin yet more of the deadwood.

    I acknowledge all that but unfortunately I fear the worst.

    Still, I think it's a bit fishy for him to be there so long and walk out at half 12 on the phone not looking too fussed.

    You'd think after about even 2 or 3 hours in there he'd turn to his agent and say 'wait a * minute here, this auld *'s having me on let's go.'

    There's more to it than is being reported that much is true.

    I would of much preferred Guidetti to Scepovic because I have seen Guidetti play and I know he would make a difference to this team we all love and it bothers me that he came straight to Glasgow at the first chance when fiorentina nad Palermo were in for him but instead we * him off for a guy who didn't even want to play for our club he was only ever going to come to us if it was his ONLY option . * right off tell u something I was one happy bunny at the prospect of having Guidetti and aye having the other guy would be good so if one is off the boil or not settling the other can prosper if this has been a stunt by the board its non short of disgraceful

    "Some unproven * who doesn't [even] want to be here" is going on my shirt this year.

    My use earlier wasn't deliberate either.

    Aye something isn't right, surely Celtic/Man City/Guidetti would have said something by now to let everyone know the score.

    Guidetti is having a sleepover with Scepovic as we speak to work on their partnership for the coming season.

    I'm not sure. It's after 3 am but given time this will come out.

    - Opening his gub about matters likely to reflect badly on the club (barring fan behaviour) isn't Lawwell's style and he's usually nowhere to be seen on deadline day to comment either way;

    - Man City probably don't care enough about Guidetti to announce his departure (or non-departure) with any urgency, perhaps barring a brief mention in a transfer round-up article on their site (which probably wouldn't be written until tomorrow);

    - Guidetti might open his mouth but not before the press try and get it out of him tomorrow. Doesn't seem like the shy type from his videos so we'll probably get the truth, critical of the club or not;

    - Deila is also likely to be questioned on it at some point.

    Aye I was supposed to say that I doubt City really care, sorry.

    We'll surely hear something tomorrow, just thought more might have been revealed tonight whereas everyone's still a bit in the dark at the minute.

    Sooner we hear something the better anyway fs. :50:

    Deila will most definitely be questioned.

    From what I've read most are either pointing fingers at Lawwell for pulling the plug and stringing him along, or blaming poor administration at either Celtic or the SFA.

    The one person that the finger hasn't been pointed at is the lad's agent. I don't know the full details (Wikipedia), but apparently he was involved in a botched attempt to take Guidetti to FC Twente. Guidetti's dad was involved in the transfer deal (a pre-contract agreement) which Guidetti signed, but the agent claimed nothing had been agreed meaning he stayed at City for 3 more years.

    It could be his agent who was either utterly incompetent, or was actively trying to transfer Guidetti to a side who would pay more sizable agent fees; a contract outgoing I can't see Celtic willing to pay in sizable amounts considering * all of it goes towards football.

    What time was the article printed? Sky announced the deal was off, at least until tomorrow, at around 2 am.
