That's what I was saying earlier, but some seem to think he won't want a permanent contract. I reckon the lad would.

 

Wishful thinking aside, I think he would too. Celtic is a perfect platform from which to jump start his career again and he seems to realize that. It's a huge club on a huge stage (most years), but also one that he can take the lead role in.

Exactly, you can tell by the Feyenoord videos that that's just the kind of player he is, which is why Celtic makes sense for him. If every player had that attitude football would 100000x better.

There was probably a * up in the scouting department. Lawwell thought he was signing Jorge Cadete then realised it was John Guidetti and pulled the plug.

 

What would stop other clubs snapping him up in the same way. Going back.to Feynoord wouldnt be a step back as much as coming here would be. I can sense your touchy about this but face it we are not as attractive a club as we once were and that's due to the suits for many reasons.

Papers today are still saying we are chasing this deal through so its still relatively positive at the moment. The 'Ed' on Celtic Rumours website reckons it'll be Friday before we hear anything.

 

What's with all the professors of doom on this thread? We are clearly still trying to get him, there has been no indication otherwise. Some people need to look be a bit more optimistic.
