    How can the board be blameless? It's up to the board to have players signed for various competitions in a timely manner.

    I see a lot of debate about the board and when they make signings. It is up to the board to ensure the team is prepared for the start of each competition. If that means spending money to strengthen the squad prior to CL qualifiers then so be it. Part of the money made from the previous CL campaign should be invested to strengthen for the next one.

    The way Celtic are doing it is * over *. They only spend the appropriate cash if/when we reach the group stages.

    Some may have a different opinion on this which is your right.

    The board have signed one player and all of a sudden they are the best in the world again with loads of sarcastic sack the board posts everywhere :56: I personally think they stitched this guidetti up after signing Scepovic and tried to back out of it and are now trying to make it look like they are doing all they can to sign him.

    100% correct mate. The board are to blame. * stingy *! A hate the *!

    Someone asked if this has been the best transfer window in the last 10 years?:smiley-laughing002: To not strengthen the team when it badly needed it for the CL qualifiers was a huge mistake. Getting pumped out the qualifiers then getting put back in for a second bite and the board still didn't spend a * penny to strengthen the team and then we got put back out again. All in the space of a few weeks.

    This has been the worst transfer window in 10 years!

    According to UEFA he's listed in our squad.

    UEFA rules state the registration of players must comply with FIFA regulations and guidelines about player registration. It's possible that according to these rules, players subject to an appeal are accepted provisionally and that FIFA/UEFA advised us to do it while the appeal went through.

    If so our chances look good.

    UEFA will take into account the on going appeal with FIFA. So we will have to appeal to UEFA after the FIFA appeal. I think. :31:

    The UEFA deadline for registering players for the Europa League arrived at midnight last night and if the Guidetti deal can be ratified then Celtic would need to apply to Europe’s governing body for further dispensation.


    If they succeed with FIFA but fail with UEFA, the striker would only be eligible to play in SPFL and Scottish Cup matches. Curiously, UEFA named Guidetti as a Celtic player in the club section of their website yesterday.

    It may well be that celtic feel they have a strong case with Fifa so have pre-empted it and registered him as a player with Uefa
