How the * Michael Kelly can have the nerve to even comment on anything to do with Celtic ever again is beyond me. If it hadnt been for Sack The Board campaign, Fergus McCann and Brian Dempsey then Michael Kelly would have sat back and watched the club die, whilist still talking a lot of pish about a super-stadium in Cambuslang.
The man should have emigrated and should never have been seen or heard of again. Infatuated with profit and a user......only interested in his own gain. * -
SATURDAY’S win over Kilmarnock marked the perfect tribute to Billy McNeill, with Celtic’s current number 5, Jozo Simunovic, netting the game’s only goal on the 67th minute.
It was an emotional day at Paradise, and away from the football, John Fallon was delighted to be reunited with his own European Cup winner’s medal.
Thought to have been lost after the European Cup final in 1967, John Fallon’s medal was discovered by someone who recognised as belonging to the Celtic goalkeeper, who was on the bench in Lisbon.
The medal was donated back, to the club and the club, in turn, made sure the medal was returned to its rightful owner.
Speaking to Celtic TV, John Fallon said: “It feels great to be reunited with my medal, and I’ve got to thank Peter Lawwell and everyone at Celtic for going to all this effort and finding the medal that was lost. I did get a replica one at one point, but it didn’t seem the same.
“It was such a surprise, I got a phone call about a month ago from John Clark telling me that Peter wished to see me. He told me the story of how the medal had been found, so I was very proud to receive it and it adds to the collection.”
Looking back, Lisbon Lion John described the mood at full-time following Celtic’s historic 2-1 win over Inter Milan as berserk, and said he’s as proud of that moment today as he was over 50 years ago in Portugal.
He added: “We were wading through scores of fans to get off the park and into the dressing-rooom. It’s such a great memory! We’ll never forget it, and it’s something everyone should be proud. For the Celtic supporters, we gave them something to look at that nobody else could."Seosamh Máirtín, Random Review, Rydo1888* and 3 others like this. -

Anyone know the actual story of the 'lost' medal? -
Couldn't believe this when I heard about it last year, well done whoever sorted it, it was a * disgrace that he had to put up with a copy while one of our directors pocketed his

Billy McNeill was given a box which contained 12 medals (first 11 and the one registered substitute)- went around handing them out, gave Fallon the 12th medal.
Soon after, Stein either went over and took it from Fallon (or ordered McNeill to take it back, can't quite remember off hand) stating that the 12th medal was for the referee and that Fallon would get one later.
Turns out the 12th medal was not for the referee, but was given to Kelly. Fallon later got a medal either a few weeks later or a few months later, but the medal was slightly different to the original medals, and was made in Birmingham or something.
He's now been given back THE original medal that should've remained in his hands after being given it, much to the credit of Peter Lawwell funnily enough.
Mr. Stein should be widely appreciate for what he did here, but he was an absolute * to Fallon by all accounts.Gyp Rosetti, Xatraps, Marie and 2 others like this. -
