A lot of common between he and Griff isn't it?

Bit of a cheeky *, hibs background, free kick specialist.

Great player, not so great coach.

I don't really see the arrogant part tbh. I mean, he's clearly a guy who looks after himself but that in itself isn't arrogance at all, not even close. He believes in his own footballing ideas/philosophies but that's pretty much commonplace amongst every professional football manager or coach (and probably most of us commenting from the sidelines too), from what I've seen anyway.

Am I missing something here? Is he just seen as arrogant because he's in shape and has a set of pearly white teeth? Always seemed like a decent guy to me, in fact if Scottish football as a whole had embraced his way of thinking 20 years ago we'd be in much better shape now.

It’s common knowledge that he is an arrogant guy.

Nothing wrong with that, he carried it well during his career and he clearly has high standards.

I wouldn't describe him as arrogant. Opinionated yes. His opinions were different from most other footballers at the time but really they were more professional.

Loved him as a player as much for his work rate and tracking back and tackling as for his passing and freekicks.

He was my favourite player when I was really wee so nothing against him.

I’m basing the arrogant comment on the opinions of people he’s worked with. As I say it can be taken a certain way but what is for sure is that he has certain standards as a coach as he did when he was a player and he clearly still abides by them given the fact he’s still a machine and he’s almost 50.

Always beams when speaking about us..

Was always good on Sky covering our game's, especially in the champion's league under Lenny..

Didn't know he was a Tim as a kid. Always thought he was a Hibs man who had an affection because he played here..

I think the people who slagged him off at the time were hibs boys who wanted to go out and get smashed half the time ..... who now have a bit of egg on their face really now that you look at the celtic regime and how much scott brown is under the collar

Loved him as a player but could no doubt be a bit precious... my uncle asked him to sign an autograph at the Convention in Vegas for my Auntie and he said 'It's no a novel I'm writing' my uncle told him to ram it lol...

My mate works for Honda and he kicked up a right stink that his courtesy motor from the sponsors was a slightly different spec than he thought he was getting was a right * about it lol

Don't mind Collins. Played for Celtic when I was only a baby so I only knew about him when he started managing Hibs.

How can people on here say he's not arrogant when they have never met him :43:. He's arrogant as * but was the first player to score professionally with Adidas Predators so we can let him off

What's he doing these days anyway?
Still reckon he could do well at the Scotland job if he wanted it.

Bit of a hard *, takes no * sort of guy. But players don't need to work with him every day. Also good with youth, fitness and could do wonders for developing the game as a whole in the country.

Still one of my fav players had a genuine huge talent and sadly was stuck in a very poor Celtic team the majority of his time with us. Single handidly one games for us week in week out
