Coupled to the comments about his brother losing years of his life due to a ‘scrap’ the other week. Guy knows he’s not getting anywhere near another job, nailed on for starting a podcast ‘telling it as it is’. Playing up to the small minded simpletons he’s currently trying to represent on Twitter.

He's an attention seeking *. He has a point in some of what he is saying but he could open it up to the standard of punditry in general guys like Mcmanaman, Owen, Saunders and Murphy are utter * as well off the top my head but he knows exactly what he's doing just all a big ploy to promote his podcast.

Aw aye, it’s targeted and calculated * stirring but it’s the ol’ Tommy Robinson tactics vague generic ‘stand’ against stuff that while rile up the * idiots. Wrapped up in psuedo-intelligence and an attitude of I’ll say what’s needed, hamming it up, like you couldn’t here the same off some old tool in any pub in watching a game with a female pundit

Theirs tokenism in football for sure nowadays regarding all this, however there is an incredible amount of * male pundits and commentators too. Hartson being one, what a hard listen.

I don’t doubt that some women get the job to tick the box.

As others have stated though, there are * bogging pundits who are male. Michael Owen and Rio Ferdinand are two off the top of my head and Micah Richards’s insight is * woeful… he’s genuinely hilarious though and I love watching him.

In isolation, complaining about certain women getting jobs in punditry is fine but we all know what his real problem is.

    Only pundits I like watching/listening.

    G Nev
    Carragher
    Keane
    Sutton
Boyd (tbh you need one like him to laugh at, and when he gives it you have to take it)
Mickey Stewart (for winding up Sevco)

Can’t stand Henry, McMeneman, Micah Richards. Peter Drury trying to hard now with the inspirational *.

Can’t believe you like listening to Kris Boyd but don’t like Peter Drury.

Boyd talks pish but you need atleast one of them and he gets the most fizzing after Celtic win , they drop points.

I liked Drury but feels forced now like he’s sitting up all night thinking of his next viral clip .

Seeing as I come from a radio background, I have to say, some of the female commentators voices are awful, really shrill, not fit for audio broadcast in my mind...in the old days, you had to have a good voice for radio as it's an audio medium and not have the voice of nails down a blackboard, which meant you couldn't broadcast (same as TV audio)..I do agree with that..crap voice male or female shouldn't be allowed...but you can't do that anymore....however in fairness, there are loads of crap male broadcasters too

Also, as my lefty mum said...why do they have to crow bar women into the men's sport? Why can't women just do women's sport? Why is it being forced just for the sake of forcing it?

You can take point 1 up with me and point 2 up with her..but be warned..she's Irish and we all know what Irish mum's are like!

    Most pundits are dreadful.

The only knowledgeable and tolerable mainstream ones are Neville, Carragher, Keane, Sutton, and Hargreaves.

Lennon is actually quite good when he is on.

The European football guys, Richardson, Horncastle, Laurens, Honegstein are all great and should be front and centre of the Champions League on BT, rather than absolute * wits like Joleon Lescott and Michael Owen.

We forgetting as well that Petrov is great, I enjoy listening to him if he's ever on punditry.

Listening to his podcast with James English. Barton will go on about something unrelated to football for 15 minutes say, something quite interesting and English will not even comment he’ll just go something like “oh how was it to play in the premier league brother”. How’s he got so far In the podcast game.
