As right as he is about Shearer, Barton is a liability and an embarassment. I can't begin to imagine why anyone would want him at their club, least of all a club fighting off relegation, and if Hughes has any sense he'll chase him in the summer.

Guy is just another scumbag. Lucky for him he just happens to be good at football. If it were up to me he would be banned for life and that would be that.

Whether Tevez hit him first or not doesn't justify attacking him back, then kneeing Aguero, then trying to headbutt Balotelli...he's just a *. End of.

    He's an * bully!

He knows there are very few pro footballers who will brawl on the pitch, so he throws his weight about in safety. Same as his public scraps... he picks on the weak.

I think Tevez probably does more than Barton to start with after seeing it all again. If the linesman manages to see every bit of it, I don't think Barton would be the only one punished.

don't see how people can possibly try and blame it on tevez he tries to make a run and barton then tries to body check him whilst throwing an elbow that misses then tevez run into him at which point barton thinks he'll be a hard * and elbows him for no reason

I tried liking Barton, but nah.....he is just a nasty guy who would definitely be a crook if not for his footballing skills.I have absolutely no doubt at all that when his playing career is over, we will still be hearing about him on the news!!!!

I can honestly see the FA making a real example of him this time.He should be worried.....very worried!

Joey's a hero. Read his Twitter on non-mental days and it's the most insightful thing you'll ever hear from any footballer ever. Plus he was the only player that spoke out in support of gay footballers in that recent BBC3 documentary. Who cares if he likes a fight and an argument, that doesn't make him a terrible person.

I'm sure his team mate that had a cigar stubbed out in his eye by this animal would call him a terrible person

He`s had so many chances outwith football that many other don`t get. He has issues with his temper but some of the criticism is over the top.

On Sunday, he and Tevez should`ve been sent off. What he did after was petty.

He was bang on about the comments and criticism he received from Alan Shearer; Shearer stamped on Neil Lennon`s head(unacceptable in any walk of life) and yet he was chastising Barton`s actions.

Shearer then went onto threaten the FA, if they banned him from playing in the World Cup or Euro Championship. He then asked Neil Lennon through his agent (couldn`t do it personally) if he could speak on his behalf.

Other criticism is fine and he should take his dose of punishment

Don't talk garbage, the guy is a complete and undisputed scumbag ! Just because he speaks out about something that suits your agenda does'nt mean that he's a good person and the rest of his antics can be over looked because of it !
