Something which I particularly disagree with here. It's everybody in the teams job to ensure the ball goes in the net and we win our games, Ledley does that more so than our other central midfielders, whilst also allowing other players to play with more freedom because of his positional play.

All of our other midfielders have had there best period of play in there Celtic careers partnering Ledley - Wanyama, Kayal, Brown and Ki included. The only one that hasn't is Charlie Mulgrew, who has only played next to broony.

You may lay your eyes upon "every single game", but clearly you don't actually watch what is going on, or more specifically, take it in.

Well nobody in our midfield does everything well, so we must be pretty poor in that area of the park.

You could quite easily pick faults in every players game in our midfield.

I live in Sweden so don't go to that many games tbf. But even when I do get to the occasitional game Ledleys never been an outstanding player. Isn't he also our best payed player? I know he was a free transfer and all, but does he really deserve to be that?

Joe Ledley's the most complete midfielder we have.

I agree with that, by far our most complete midfielder.

I would agree 100% with that.

But the guys point about "every midfielder should be able to do everything well", was a complete nonsense statement. Because every one of our midfielders have flaws in their game.

Every midfielder in the world has flaws. Xavi is slow and can't header a ball, does it matter worth a *? No, it doesn't.

Paul Scholes feels that tackling is the most important part of playing in the middle of the park :bbpd:

His work rate off the ball is tremendous mate. The reason I asked about the games, is because it's almost impossible to appreciate how much work goes into his performance, as a lot of it is done without the ball.

I always say the same when discussing Ledley, although he doesn't always stand out in games, tell me once where you can remember his direct opponent having a good game. It's a rarity. He is very similar to Lambert in that sense.

Lesley is an excellent player for us. Steady as you likeand I tell you what it would be absolutely criminal if we lost him on a free.

Don't really get what he saying here...Izzy has been playing pretty well in general without Joe there.

I know, I was simply showing that his comment was hideous. I used only our players as it seems like a bit of a vendetta against only Ledley from the guy. But he hasn't picked out faults in any other midfielder we have in our ranks. I know that every midfielder in the World has flaws. The most complete central midfielder in World football is probably Iniesta. And you could pick out a fault in his game.

He's worth hos weight in gold for us - the only properly bad game I can remember him having was Elfsborg away.

You would do well to find a player with pass marks in Elfsborg except from Lustig.

He has, generally with Mulgrew providing the cover for him, something that Ledley is far more effective at. I've said it since his first season, Izzy is far better when Ledley is on the pitch. He's not incapable when he's not, just more resteained and less effective.

First game in a long time where Sammy's played infront of him he hasn't been left on 2 on 1.
