    Dont know how accurate those reports are TBH as the Cardiff manager (has appapently) rubbished claims that other teams were interested...could be just sour grapes on his behalf though.

    I'm keeping my fingers crossed and I'm happy with the fact that the hoops are targetting some good quality players.

    Time will tell

    There is also reports every were that blackburn wanted him, stoke defo wanted him, pullis came out and said it himself.

    According to this interview from Jones....(If you listen ALL the way through....There has never been at anytime an offer from anyone on the table for Joe Ledley when the layer was still contracted to cardiff......and the Stoke manager says Ledley was at Stoke for a look around but nothing was ever discussed. I'm not doubting the guy is talented but I think much of this talk about numerous clubs being after him is the work of his agent....This is the norm in football.

    i read today he passed a medical with us and that he had flew to cardiff for "personal reasons" but it is to be completed tomorrow, cant remember where i read it tho.

    Ledley would fall into category 2, and it would be for each year from 12-21 - so around £500K.

    But the training compensation applies to under-23s - and Ledley turned 23 last season. I'm not convinced it applies at all.

    I reckon Jones is just clutching at straws. Cardiff decided to play hardball with Ledley when he wanted a move a year back - which would have netted the club £6M. That has backfired pretty spectacularly. Reap what you sow etc...

    If Celtic wanted to be sure of how they stand legally, this might explain why nothing was signed after the medical was done.

    thats a load of *!we dont have to pay hee haw unless training ground comp(which i dont think we do?) its cardiff being silly * and greetin cos they arent getting money thats all. celtic would have xplored all this in the 1st place before going for him! so that too me is bollox of the highest tbh/
