I am still gutted Ledley was sold. For me one of our most important players under Lennon and certainly one of my favourites. Obviously I don't know for a fact whether he was asked to take a pay cut or he wasn't. A lot of un answered questions really. But I will say Ledley is pushing belief a bit by saying he was still thinking about things come January 31.

Giving your word you'll sign a contract is irrelevant really isn't it??

When you've got 6 months remaining and you're in the last day of the transfer window, you sell if a bid comes in.

So he was basically going to accept the offer on the table then, but he was still weighing up his options - waiting on a club coming in - ahhh joe lost a bit of respect for you coming on and saying this.

The only way you where going to sign a new deal was if no one wanted you, has nothing to do with the club accepting the offer.

He held back for so long, when it came to the crunch the club acted when ledley did'nt so we move on best of luck to him, but Crystal * Palace jeez oh.

You can't blame the club at all for this. If he hadn't signed a new contract, we'd have been left with a top earner with no future at Celtic, who could leave for nothing at the end of the season.

If Joe was so keen to stay, he and his agent would have thrashed a deal out with Celtic. He's made it clear his ambition was to play in that league.

It reads very much to me like he is trying to convince himself he has made the right move.

Could be true. I think he wanted to move on but I think he thought he'd playing at a higher level than Palace if he did.

cant understand why his contract wasnt tied up sooner .when he was talking about wanting to sign on again last year a contract should have been offered instead of waiting until he was in the position he was,it wouldnt surprise me if the board wanted him gone as he was a high earner

Lost a lot of respect for him after reading that. The club had no choice to accept because you * about over signing the contract they offered.

Just admit you wanted to leave. *.

Does it really ACTUALLY * matter now?

He's a Crystal Palace player - only CELTIC players are of any importance to us.

Of course there isn't. I'd like to see anyone prove it.

As much as I liked Joe here, the quotes make me think that he's daft. Trying to convince us that he didn't want to leave and that essentially it was the clubs fault, but everything he says indicates that the club didn't really have a choice because he was dragging his feet.

I think we can move on to bigger and better things than Joe Ledley (Biton & Johansen are looking good), but I'd much rather he didn't come out with * like this.

He's gone, don't see why we are still debating him.

If a few more grand a week is all that matters to him then that's up to him. The highest he can aim for at Palace is staying in the EPL and the occasional cup run.

    Onwards and upwards.

That's nice Joe ,shuffle along now and get on with your job . I for one could n't give a * .

Especially after reading your last interview when you said something along the lines of we miss playing that club who we will never play again due to them being dead.

In my mind I take it you are asking ?

I don't like to see ex players saying we miss them . Gives me a mental picture of wee billy knox from larkhall reading his daily record and coming across something like this and getting a chubby . Simple as that .

    Tough * joe.

    * about until the last day to sign your contract?

Waiting on something were you??? An offer from the premiership perhaps? ?

    Disrespectful to palace actually.

Bye joe. Thanks for the memories.

Well, usually the inclusion of a question mark would indeed suggest the inclusion of a question, yes.

So, you have a mental picture of a hun with a hard on? You have issues pal........SERIOUS issues :97:
