Thought he was good first half but the free kick was brutal from him. Time and time again he gives away so much of his goal. That wasn’t even in the corner and he still couldn’t keep it out.

 

Every * in the stadium knew where that free kick was heading- except Hart obviously.

Was a good fk, powerfully hit.

I actually don't blame him, tbh he moves over its harder for a goalie to go other way.

 

Thought he shoulda saved it but had a good game.

 

Been a great servant but need better. Just knew before a ball was kick he was conceding today

 

Tbf on this occasion I thought it was a really good free kick and not much he could have done but issue for me is that every time a team gets a free kick in those areas against us im always hoping its not going to make it past the wall and that shouldn't be the confidence (or lack of) a keeper gives you.

 

If it goes in the top corner then fair enough, but when you’re giving away as much of the goal as he does it doesn’t need to be. He doesn’t have the agility to get across either.

Was the root of all our problems today. Should have been a cake walk once they got a man sent off but he ended up making it awkward.

 

That's it 100% need to upgrade

 

Aye everyone said prior he was giving up 3/4 of his goal again if it beats the wall it's a goal. Needs replaced in January

 

thought he was awful at the free kick if he was able to get his hand behind it he should of kept it out, he did make a good save from the weird lookin wee * though

 

Makes more sense to cover your front post from that side of a free kick, he’s never crossing it and far enough to get power on it. Cracking free kick to be fair but totally saveable.

 

I'm gonna say it again.

He should 100% be saving that.

 

Tremendous today. Made some good saves and the narrative is getting tiresome. There’s no doubt a new keeper will come in at the summer but he’s doing very well. If he’d covered his near post and had lost the goal to the far post he’d have been slaughtered. At times we need to accept the opposition’s ability and that was a great free kick. He’s capable of putting it in either corner, unfortunately.

 

Put someone on the far post .

 

I actually said that half jokingly today it felt blatantly obvious a goal was coming so instead of having Palma on the deck behind the wall which is utterly pointless stick him on the post

Aye but at the same time it would have prevented a goal. As I say at the time I said it in jest as I think the player behind the wall is so pointless but it just felt so obvious he was scoring

 

No that invites too much chaos. Accept it, it’s a great strike that no goalie is getting. Oh wait…..similar to Kyogos……are people saying Butland should have got that? If so they’re delusional……
