Agreed. He's doing even simple things weirdly wrong.

Sometimes you don't notice the aging of a keeper but for me it's become really obvious with him.

Teams know he's vulnerable and worse still so does our defence which makes for nervous players..

We need to add real quality..

Ok so here’s the concern. Who replaces him? According to everyone on here the 2 understudies aren’t good enough, so our track record in getting keepers isn’t great. I’d sure as * rather he was in the goals than any of the others at the club. Someone thought Barkas was quality and we spent a fortune on him. He’s getting past his sell by date but still the best we have, still makes big saves, St Johnstone and Hibs last week. I think we should replace in the summer and focus on other areas in January.

3 clean sheets in 14 games. 0 in the past 5.

We've also conceded at least 2 goals in every CL game.

Obv there is more to it than that, and the guys in front of him have to take some accountability also,

Hart has made the fewest saves in the Premiership this season (31) @ 72.1%

How Hart copmpares to other GK in the Premiership...

Tbf, making the fewest saves is probably because we have so much possession.. most Celtic GKs, would probably have the same stat..

True, but look at the percentage of saves compared to some of the others who have had to make considerably more, for instance.

For the 2nd the attacker is favourite there every time. Of it was saved it would have been one of those "what a save moment's"

Hart had one of those against St Johnstone just before we scored our 3rd.

I'm.not saying we shouldn't be upgrading, we absolutely should be, but the takeaway from that * show against Killie was not get * Joe hart

This is pretty damning. Save percentage 7th in the league, 10 points below Butland. His numbers aren't terrible but he's being outperformed by keepers I've literally never heard of. We can do better.

The stats he quotes are useless. As you alluded to, it stands to reason that the keeper for the best team is going to have the least saves. Slightly more useful (and more worrying) is that he's very much midtable for save % (the Hun keeper is top, way ahead of anyone else, which passes the eyeball test). Really, though, we want to see Hart's xGA to get an accurate picture..

    Stats are still concerning tbh.

It's all immaterial anyway. He's finished.

Yep hun keeper looks far better on paper and on the eye.
Given our log for signing washed up players from the hallowed epl on the cheap it's strange we didn't go for him.
He would have been ideal Hart replacement but then I suppose that would have ment us having to be proactive and look to replace him when we should of rather than wait till he retired and then look

The defence in front of him has been garbage. He's went from rock solid Starfelt and CCV to it changing fairly often til we got lucky with Scales.

I don't think the criticism is fair. He is not the best at coming and punching clear or catching at crosses though.

He doesn't save anything he shouldn't either. Have you ever really thought "wow how'd he save that!?"
Personally iv never. Yet I see it game after game with normal spl keepers.

The save at Ibrox where he was at full stretch to tip it onto the post was excellent.

In general he's performed well against Sevco.

Been saying it for over a year now but he’s nowhere near good enough. Living off the name on the back of his shirt at this stage. Priority number 1 needs to be signing a quality keeper, excuse the pun.
