One played in England, one didn't. Not saying there was miles between them but FF had saves in him that not many other keepers in the world had.

Not as simple as that, frase was brilliant and I loved the big man. But if any English team really rated him they’d have paid the cash for him from us and you just know we’d have taken peanuts for him at that time. Look at what we let virg go for. Plus for a lot of it he was already on loan from Newcastle. Prime Joe hart vs prime FF there’s no comparison….but for us during their times here Fraser has definitely been better than hart is

He is finished. We knew this in the summer and most said it would cost us not replacing him. This has proven to be the case. He has cost us big goals in Europe and it’s starting to lose us goals domestically also. That was abysmal yesterday from him. As was his attempt at washing windows for Motherwell’s goal the other week. Have one away second half with an attempted pass also. Against better teams we are punished for that as well.

I don't get why FF never made it down there but the sweeper keeper was starting to take over about that time and he was never anywhere near good enough with the ball for that. Hart isn't great but better than Forster in that regard, plus Hart was a bit of a poster boy at thay time as well. Never watched enough of Hart to say if he had games in him like Forster did, games like Barcelona, Lazio, hun cup final but anytime I did see him around that time, I wondered why he was getting regular caps for England instead of Forster.

Roders saying hes good for the dressing room with his experience.......you would think we had a team of under 14s.Manager needs to give the players a kick up the * and needs to replace hart asap.

We have become soft,no bite in the team and this comes from the manager and hes allowing hart to become a passenger in the team.

Not been at his best but looking back that st Johnstone goal looks suspect to me the saints players not going for ball blocking off Taylor in turn blocking off the goal keeper of Taylor isn’t their in between it would be seen as a foul on the keeper with the blocking

The one for me is mainly the first header, the boy has a handful of O’Riley’s shirt, then when O’Riley looks favourite to win the header he shoves him forward which forces O’Riley under the ball and allows the St J player to win the first contact. Given what we got Scales goal chopped off for at Ross County it’s definitely a foul.

Should we be stronger after that definitely but that part to me is a definite foul.

I also don’t understand why we have Taylor trying to protect the keeper, he can’t compete physically with the guys he is trying to keep out the way so just ends up making the problem worse. At the end of the day Harts about 6’4+ and well built he should be clearing folk out the way to come for anything in and around his 6 yard box but he isn’t comfortable doing it.

In Joe Hart's case, it's the game that has changed. I wouldn't say he is bad with his feet for his generation. In Forster's case, he was bad at that even by traditional standards. Hart is Onana in comparison with Forster.

He wasn’t the biggest of our problems yesterday, but undoubtedly could’ve done better for both goals. Just watches Phillips put it past him, and then fluffs what would’ve been a relatively easy one-on-one vs Kennedy for most other goalkeepers.

Also can’t help but notice that both goals came down our left, in acres of space. Once again being screwed by not having signed a GK and LB.

There was nothing he could do against Philips finish against him, of Oh had made that connection earlier we'd have been praising it as an outstanding finish. 2nd he was left * by * defending again. It was not harts fault at all yesterday.

There's no way Hart was even slightly to blame for the first one. It's physically impossible for a human being to react that quickly. When the best goalkeepers save those from strikers, it's because they have read the situation and the striker's body movement and posture and read where he's going to put it; but none of that applies to a defender diverting it into his own goal.

The second one, I would fancy, say, Artur Boruc in those situations; but it's a bit harsh to just expect most keepers to win those 1-on-1 duels. Hart could have done better, but I wouldn't be blaming him or anything.

How many balls into the box does he punch away when it's an easy catch btw?

he's been an easy target this season due to people wanting a new GK in the summer but while he's had poor moments in games he's far from the biggest culprit when it comes to underperforming this season. the defence in front of him for starters is mince, and the midfield offer virtually no protection to that defence. would take an unreal goalkeeper to stop us conceding in games and even then that would be papering over the cracks.

I don't think yesterday was an illustration of why Hart's done, but he is.

Anyone can see how slow he is. He has let goals go past him where he's barely reacted. There was almost one yesterday, Killie had a chance in the first half with a ball into the far post that hit the bar on the half-volley. Hart sort of just lamely waved out an arm as it flew past him.

Very frequently, he just panics and flails. And it's because he just can't react like he used to. At his worst, he looks like somebody's dad in net. I know that's harsh but it's true. He doesn't move and react like an athlete in their prime.

    He's pish now.

Zero confidence in him. He's served us fine and is a good guy but needs dropped in January. Not the summer.

I get why some people jump to his defence as he can't be expected to save every shot but for me is not making any meaningful impact. Hart isn't exactly providing a highlight reel of saves this year. Everytime an aerial ball comes in he does this weird star jump thing, roughly in the balls vicinity but never anywhere near it, not providing any sort of presence that a keeper should give. He reacts slowly to balls he could and should come rushing out for. Shots virtually right at him are finding there way into the net. At this stage, I honestly believe Bain would be more useful and he certainly isnt the answer either by the way.

At his best Hart had faults but where he is now, it's a million miles off what we need him to be.

Give him and and Taylor a hard time weekly now and I think I am boring myself with it now...

Why does this club constantly do this to older players? Like we try to keep them going and going to the point where they were once respected for a job well done they become just done and easy targets for criticism.

In recent memory we have Hart, Forrest, Lustig, Brown, Gordon, Lennon, JVOH and I am sure there will be more. All guys that range from good servants to club legends yet we don’t know when to properly start rotating them out.

Think his performances have crossed the line now, that if this isn't resolved in Jan...he will go out with a similar fan level of appreciation as Craig Gordon.

So true, and it does them no favours either. Broony's was especially painful: one of our most important players in my lifetime getting pelters every week.

Aye, it obviously wasn’t his fault so to speak, but you’re not going to convince me that - at the very least - a better keeper doesn’t stand Matty Kennedy up fairly routinely for that second.

Phillips, yes, it’s unfortunate/clumsy/ridiculous on Phillips’ part, and therefore nothing to do with Hart fault wise, but again, someone with lightning-quick reflexes at least gets something on it. Imagine a Forster in that situation. Might he still have conceded it? Absolutely, but with Hart, you know almost for certain that those types of “wow, how did he do that?” saves and moments are simply not there any more - full stop.

Bottom line is we need better, and I’m convinced it could have spared us the defeat yesterday.
