Well done Joe. If truth be told, I thought Hopkins got the better punches in. I'm surprised Joe won that fight given that he was on his * in the first round. A shocking start, but he recovered well. He never imposed himself though. I hope he fights Roy Jones and not Pavlik. I think Pavlik may be too strong for him at this stage, although Pavlik is more a fighter than the negative Hopkins, so it would suit Joe more. Calzaghe is still a legend no matter what anyone says. He was out his comfort zone and still won the fight, which is the main thing.

Still hammered annaw, got 2 hours on the couch, once again I stayed up to watch a 'big' fight and was left feeling let down. The hype to these fights is unreal, shame they rarely live up to the billing.

didnt think he had won it , the setanta commentators didnt made out that he was winning either

iv watched it again and i think that he did win , hopkins was losing rounds by lack of punches

Thought the ref Cortez was shocking aswell. If you watched Hatton v Mayweather he deducted points in the 6th or something from Hatton for holding , all Hopkins did all night was hold on to Joe and use his head. Where was the point deduction there? Not the best fight on the eye but well done to Joe all the same, now do the same with Pavlik and prove everybody wrong.

i hate cortez so much after the hatton fight

he was breaking it up every time hatton worked the inside and let mayweather do what the * he wanted
