At the moment scep is firmly in the * camp pending any drastic changes.

His Last outing he looked devoid of any pace, skill or strength.. Not exactly what I want from a £2 million + celtic striker.

"they didn't fit in" is that not just a fancy way of saying they were * for celtic?

Not entirely sure where Robson and Hartley fit into all this. :97:

They didn't fit in as in they're better players than they showed at Celtic. They will perform better over the course of their careers than they did here. In the same way others, such as Hartley and Robson, performed better here than they did elsewhere.
Because someone doesn't make the grade at one club doesn't make him *.

Hence why I said for Celtic, at Celtic... I judge players on how the perform in they hoops I couldn't care less on how they did before or after.

The players mentioned were "*" for Celtic hence why they are no longer here and no one cared when they were moved on.

Dress it up however you like.

And because someone scores a couple of goals at another club doesn't mean they are good either :smiley-laughing002: :bppd:

So you judge players on there appearances for Celtic and that's it. Berget played 4 games for us it's hardly enough have an opinion on. Some people take time to settle at a club whether it's a player(Lustig took months to settle after joining) or manager, many wanted Deila out after 3/4 month before he turned it around.

So 4 games in which he scored 2 goals by the way, isn't enough to judge a player.

A don't know if he's good or * he didn't look to bad though from the little game time he had here, but really a have no opinion as I've not seen much of him.

Felt a bit sorry for him at Celtic, he was thrown in at the deep end and expected to be our main creative player. I don't he was a bad player, he just didn't have the character to play for Celtic.

    * this is stupid he isn't a good player just cause he scored against us in total he has scored 33 league goals and 4 European goals in his career.

The difference between Berget and the players you've mentioned is that he never actually got a run (or even a single game) in his preferred position.

You also say he has found his level, but at the minute it appears to be a very similar level to our own!

I thought we should have tried Berget as a striker/target man. We've always been crying out for one and hanging around the box seems to be what he's good at.

as a midfielder. not a bad return. 1 in 4 games roughly. better than any of our current players in his position, apart from commons

If that was any other Malmo striker, or indeed any other striker in Europe, we would be saying "* we'll need to watch that boy, he's clinical."

Just because it's Berget, who barely had any game-time for us, and because he had a shocker against Maribor that basically spent the end of his career here - he's apparently * and both goals were lucky.

Personally, I thought his two goals were cracking finishes, especially the second with the quick turn and finish high into the roof of the net. Also got to praise him for not having a go at the Celtic team like his team-mates have been doing. Think it would've been really easy for him to just agree with his team, but he seemed to defend us a little post-match. That shows he still has good respect for the club, and fair play to him.

Hope he progresses well in the Europa League :50:

I agree with you. He has said also that Celtic are still in the driving seat and was overall pretty respectful considering how frustrated/ disappointed he probably was with Celtic.

Spot on. Was really made a scapegoat during his time here I thought, so he would definitely be entitled to a few negative remarks about the way he was treated. Seems a nice guy though.

I think he was made a bit of a scapegoat after the Maribor game. I think you know how you would feel if you had just joined some foreign club and you were getting called "Pure *" after your first two games. You would feel unfairly treated considering you haven't had time to prove yourself. He never got that opportunity in my opinion.

I agree he never got a fair shot but obviously the manager never thought he was good enough to get in the team

Interns of the criticism i think it comes with the territory if you play for a big club and under perform then the fans will be vocal

Obviously there were probably better choices for Deila in terms of Forrest, Commons etc, but I still don't think he deserved the criticism he got at times.
