Nah, his performance last night was similar to the Dundee Utd one. Hustle and bustle, * on the ball, 2 good goals.

We can only blame ourselves, it wasn't Malmo that * us last night, it was ourselves.

Because there were other circumstances at play, as I said.

Seems some are that blinded by bitterness they can't simply hold their hands up and admit all this exaggerated nonsense about him being an 'absolutely pish' footballer is just that, nonsense.

berget played decent enough last night. his link up play with the wee * yotun was good.

anyone unable to give the guy credit where its due is just bitter. there has always been ability there, ronny knew it which is why he brought him in on loan. it just didnt happen for him here.

i wish they guy well, and im sure he'll move on to a bigger club than malmo and do well. but i hope to * he is pish next week, scores 2 own goals, accidentally snaps yotun's leg going for the same ball and then gets sent off

There's something there yes... But there's something about borrigter as well... When fit !

The guy in all is a nothing the only clinical thing about him is he is a bit dangerous in and around the box

ffs so you think he is scoring vollys like that every week naw he would be lucky to hit the target 9 times out of 10 and as for the 2nd being excellent positioning its completely lucky that the ball falls to him could have went anywhere it wasnt a worked corrner it was a scramble that fell to him

A yard further out with the 1st and it misses by a mile, but that's football for you... 2nd was just sloppiness from us as we ran out of steam. But as a striker he did what was expected of him, so fair play to him

There's a good player in Berget , I'm convinced of that much. In all honesty, he should never have been signed by us and immediately pushed into the starting 11 the way he was. It was a desperate move.

Hopefully the team next Tuesday don't show the same complacent attitude to the guy as some here do, otherwise we could well be looking at a arepeat performance.

Nah, he's right. It was two poor performances, two good ones and a handful of mediocre ones. Scored as many European goals at Celtic Park last night as Stokes has ever managed.

Poor defending in both cases led to his goals but then so did Griffiths' goals and no one is saying he's * despite that. Still had a fair amount to do for his first one.

As for his career here, he didn't gel as part of the team and didn't show much to win a place in the starting line up. Quite a lot of good footballers do the same - sometimes it just simply doesn't work out! Good luck to the guy after next week.

He has found his level at Malmö.

He like many others doesn't have required minerals to play for a club like celtic.

When Scep no doubt moves on he will probably score some goals and you will get the same "knew he was a good player" "knew we shouldn't have let him go"

The same with your Pukkis, Banguras etc of the world, some players fall below the standard to make it at Celtic.

What I don't get is folks intense hard on to try and make out as though they seen something others didn't like they are some sort of global footballing aficionados. :smiley-laughing002:

Absolutely agree! As much as I am a big fan of Ronny (liked what he did at Strømsgodset and like what he is doing here), I do think the two first months at the club was tough on him, leading to desperate moves like that. Could and should have been done differently.

He would not be a regular starter here, given he would have to compete with GMS, Armstrong, Johansen, Forrest and Commons for one of the three attacking midfielder spots in Ronny´s 4-2-3-1, so the Malmø move was probably good for him! He seems to be more fitting in their 3-5-2 and traditional 4-4-2 formation as well, being versatile and playing any of the midfield and attacking positions.

Scepovic is a good player. Good link up/set up play and has shown flashes of instinctive finishing. Doesn't really suit playing as a lone striker. I think if we played a front two he'd be a good player for us. We don't though so best for all parties he's moved on.
Pukki was another good player who didn't fit into our style of play. Never seen anything from Bangura to suggest he belongs in the same conversation as these two (three counting Berget)
    Sometimes a player doesn't fit at a club, doesn't mean he's *.
Same way decent players can click at a club and elevate themselves beyond their norm. Robson and Hartley were two good if unspectacular pros who clicked in the middle of the park for us for a short spell (compared to their career) and propelled us to a title.
