I'm happy with the signing. Ronny has obviously seen something in the guy when he was at Stromsgodset.

I've never seen such a negative reaction on this site. It's laughable.

 

Also, people need to realize that at Cardiff he jumped right into a relegation battle after being in off-season mode for over a month.

 

I don't know anything about him and frankly the fact he couldn't get a game at Cardiff is pretty underwhelming but having said that this seems to be a pretty good piece of business. If he fails we don't have a useless player who we can't get rid of and if he succeeds we have already negotiated an option to buy.

 

That he'll come good. He's reliable and consistent, which is something that not many of our players display. And he's perfect for Ronny's style.

 

Exactly, these comparisons are silly..

A premier league winner and partner in the deadly sas and a swedish international who was scoring in world cups.before Hollands second biggest club.decided to part company with him, totally different class to this guy..

I hope he does weak.but its hardly an exciting deal on the day we lose our best young talent..

I think people are angry because of our lack of serious transfer activity. We need to strengthen the squad, last seasons CL shows that and the only players we've brought in are a 2nd/3rd string goalie who hasn't played in 2 years and a short term loan signing from Cardiff... Grand total of fuckall spent.

You can't not help but be underwhelmed at the signing of a guy who couldn't get near the Cardiff team, they were rank. Even having a look at YouTube and the molde fans describing him as inconsistent isn't exactly a glowing reference either. Add that to the fact Ronny said he wasn't a fan of loan deals, it's just not very inspiring.

Hopefully he turns out to be a good player but the signs aren't really that positive are they.

Only realised it was him that scored that goal against the english U21s when I saw that youtube video. I watched that game. Stefan Johansen was in the team that day as well. Good luck to the guy

Sutton was still a top player, yes, but the point still stands. How many other players were branded as dud's for their previous team yet played out their skin for their new one and revitalised their career?

Berget wasn't the only player in that Cardiff team that got relegated and it's like some people are acting like it was him that single-handedly sent them down. Plus how could he fail so badly when he only made 1 league appearance for Cardiff after only being bought in Januray this year? A player can only do so much when the manager doesn't play him.

I'll judge him after he plays for us and not before.

 

I will trust Ronnie who has first hand knowledge of this player above the experts on here. If he thinks he is good enough that will do me.

I.do think the cardiff argument is a poor one, he hardly played and they were in a mess all over the place, sacking a decent manager, getting a clueless one in, a dope of a chairman, splashing cash on duds..
They bought a striker from Copenhagen and sold him straight back.for half price..

Mental goings on there,.he doesn't look much on vids that make anyone look like world beaters.. That's just my first impression and my take on it so far..

 

We dont even know if Deila is good enough let alone anyone he signs

 

We have signed enough youtube legends so he maybe don't look that great..ill wait until he plays for us for a few months before judging him.
