Do people honestly believe that this wasn't Ronny's decision to sign his former player and fellow countryman? Seriously?

All we need to do is trust in the gaffer, he needs to start with the fans actually trusting him to do the right thing, he may lose that trust in time depending on what he does but right now we need to trust his judgement.

Last player we got on loan from a * Premiership club, who was surplus to requirements, went on to have 7 (sorta) great years for us in Samaras.

We'll just need to wait and see. I don't think there's anyone on this board who really knows what this guy plays like, so why don't we all just shut the * up and see what happens?

Seems like a decent player, hope Ronny gets the best out of him. At least it's a fresh face. Hopefully he can push Commons out of the team.

 

We did not pay for him. If it works all good, if it doesnt then we send him back.

 

If this guy goes on to be one of our top 10 scorers in Europe and gives us 7 years of service I'll be happy with that.

I doubt this guys going to be a 30 a season midfielder, that's asking a * of a lot.

 

What is with all the negative pish he hasn't even pulled on the jersey yet and people are already writing him off hope he proves every one wrong.

 

So much negativity on here it's unreal, its a zero risk signing! Give the guy a chance! And if he's pish he goes back to Cardiff no harm done, failing to see a downside.

So you only expect the manager to sign players we've heard of? Had you heard of Moravcik before Venglos signed him? Or Bobo Balde? Valgaeren? Wanyama? Ridiculous that your estimation on a new manager has gone down just because of this signing.

The hyperbole that is coming from some people regarding Berget being signed - on loan as well may I add so we only lose out on wages if it doesn't pan out for the guy - is unreal. Judged and knocked back before he's even kicked a ball for us.

 

He's not going to replace Commons if he isn't scoring or setting up as much as him. Commons contributes to about 30-45 goals a season (minus his second season)

I really don't think this guy will do that.

 

Lies! It would have been depressing as * for guys like you and SD (I'm ashamed to admit that I'd have been on here raging at the board's lack of ambition and questioning Venglos's judgement ).

@ all: Well, Deila obviously knows him, so I'll have to trust his judgement as I didn't know he existed 30 minutes ago, let alone how he is as a player.

All this talk about goal ratios depends on what kind of player he is: I remember JVOH being a great player but I don't remember him having a great goal ratio.
