I saw him play against wolves in the carling cup last year and he was a little light but had great pace and skill. Scored a cracking goal as well.

Re: Jeramie Aliadiere on loan from Arsenal??

I'm sorry mate, but as Jock Stein said, the top doesn't shrink to fit inferior players. Robbie Savage has done hee haw with his career, he's a headless chicken who thinks he's a bit tasty. If he was going to play for the Hoops, don't you think MON would have bought him??? Remember he was in the papers saying he'd love to play for Rangers. As for getting good money for Laursen and Fernandez, Celtic are trying to agree a severance package for Laursen to get him off the books, haven't heard anything about Fernandez, he could be a good squad player, but we'll have to wait and see.
Savage isn't a hard man, he's a wind up merchant, there is a big difference!
To answer your question, I want to see decent players with skill and determination at Parkhead, do you honestly belive Robbie Savage fits that bill???
Don't take my word for it, start a thread and see how many people would want Savage at CP. :thumbsdow

IMO Jerome Aliadiere is just what Celtic need, we have the stenth of Harton and Sutton to hold the ball up and in the air but we didnt have the pace.....we have that now.

More like a 100 yards a season. Lets be honest, he's never going to be a work-horse, but neither him or Sutton play a full season. With the signings WGS making, it looks like there will only be room for one target man, with Zura or Aliadiere playing up front or one behind. Perhaps Aliadeire can be used on the wings, or Zura is good at coming from midfield.
Can't really see Bellamy signing, WGS body language suggested that the deal is dead. Hartson should be cover for Sutton, will WGS accomodate both the way MON did?

The one thing Strachan emphasised today was the need for more pace in the side, and unless Hartson manages to sweat off two stone and get crossed with a greyhound it ain't gonna happen. I can't see him hanging around if he doesn't play. One of the newly promoted sides down South would probably sign him.

Totally agree mate, WGS new fitness regime will take its toll on some more than others. Everybody knows BBJ needs to loose weight and improve his general fitness, but after 4 years, I don't think he'll ever change. We'll wait and see, but IMO, BBJ should become more of a squad player if he stays. Certainly speed is something WGS seems keen on for his front players, I wouldn't mind seeing Sutton at Centre-half instead of Varga, but ideally I think we need to sign a couple of defenders, 2 midfielders and a keeper. Things are looking positive, and I expect to see a few new faces at CP next week.

hi Bhoys, I'm an Arsenal season ticket holder and you have yourself a real potential gem in Jeremie Aliadiare. Give him a few games under his belt and you will see his class. He is lightening quick, has truly fabulous control and touch and oozes class. Yes, he's a little light (well I guess anyone is compared to Hartson :)) but noticed in the last couple of games last season that his injury lay off had obviously been spent in the gym as he really looked to have bulked up. As I said, don't expect miracles in the first game or two, but he will score hatfuls of goals for you with the right service and is a very elegant footballer. I will be looking at his progress really closely. have a good season lads adn I truly hope you win the title back as I hope we win ours back too. We just need to find a way of dealing with the russian mafia at Stamford Bridge!!!! Good Luck lads adn look after Jeremie well for us!!
