Seriosuly under Ange it would have been a criminal offence to have a talent like Frimpong on the pitch

Honestly I think the lessons of Frimpong are relevant today.

He was obviously a talent but some of our support started to turn on him because he was getting the ball at the halfway line and only beating 2 of 3 men then conceding possession.

The same happens today with some of our wingers.

Wingers and wide players should be used to exploit space manufactured by the rest of the team. If they’re receiving the ball near the halfway line and expected to beat 2 or more men and spark something they will always get pelters. Even Messi would struggle.

The talent was always there to be seen.

The CV19 season he did lose his way. Hard to single him out too much considering how poor the rest of the team was at times, and how young he was.

£300k really was some bit of business for us. Fantastic player and always had bags of potential from the minute you seen his pace and dribbling, very strong for his build as well.

Should probably try raid City's youth squad a bit more often tbh.

I think the full PL2 is somewhere worth a look for players, there are a lot of good players there that aren’t good enough for the big teams yet but have serious potential.

There is one guy Alex Robertson who was out on loan at Portsmouth (who were the top team in the league) this season from city.

He’s a sort of all round centre midfielder and was a standout in league one similar to Matt O’Riley was and is still only 20 years old and I think his deal is up. He is actually Scottish but I think spent most of his young life in Australia and may have already been capped by them.

The likes of City, Arsenal and Chelsea have always had good young players who often end up moving on at 19-21yr to get first team football. Inevitably go down to League 1 or Championship in England but we should be using our European football as a carrot to get them up here.

I think as well the way this ffp carry on is going on the prem as well, is literally lining up for clubs like ours to get young promising players that these academies horde so they can sell for "100% profit".

I would be happy to give those guys a chance as well as mixing it up with a more global approach to mix in more aged and experienced players

If Leverkusen win the treble will that make Frimpong first player to win major treble in 2 different countries

Scored again. The amount of times that Leverkusen scores in the last 5min or added time is insane :giggle1:

Did he get it ? Thought it would be an OG.

Canny believe he skied that chance before it. Some boy.

At least in my app and by the commentators :celtman2:

Think the deflection wasn't big enough to count as OG and the shot was at least on target.

I hope he is sold for a gazillion dollars.

There's potential that we could get more money from his sale, years after leaving us, than the huns will take in for combined sales this summer.

Love the wee man to bits. A hefty sell on this summer would be nice but I'd quite like to see him stay at Leverkusen one more year alongside Alonso and have a crack at more trophies there.
