Hes turning into some player right enough.

Shame it's only about £34m...thought he'd go for £50m easy.

If 30% is true then we'd still take 7 to 8m wouldn't we, which isn't bad. Sell one is why we should always want players who leave us to do well

Does he not fill any home quotas being from England from such a young age?

    Surely he’s a no-brainer for these clubs.

Homegrown status is made by being in an association for 3 years between 15 and 21. Nationality has no bearing. Club grown is 3 years at a single club during that period (a loan to a same association club doesn't break the club status)

Kris Ajer has homegrown status in Scotland and club grown for Celtic as an example.

See Leverkusen have signed right back Josip Stanisic on loan from Bayern; would suggest Frimpong will have a move lined up or he wouldn’t have been signed on top of the young Brazilian right back they signed.

Would like to see him at Real Madrid, that Carvajal is a carthorse now.

Him and Valverde going down the right with Bellingam, Vinicius maybe Mbappe next year.

Soccer planning is a delicate art, but sometimes unforeseen circumstances force teams to adapt. This is the challenge facing Chelsea, who have been plagued by injuries to star right-back Reece James. Faced with this situation, the London club has begun to look for alternatives, and the name of Jeremie Frimpong has emerged as an intriguing option.

Renowned for his speed and aggressiveness on the pitch, Jeremie Frimpong has proven himself in the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen. His style of play fits perfectly with Chelsea's attacking philosophy, offering solid defense and support on the attacking front. Frimpong's versatility makes him an attractive candidate to fill the gap left by James' injuries.

Chelsea does not stop: Jeremie Frimpong, new target

Despite his youth, Frimpong has left a lasting impression in Germany with his energy and ability to make a difference. His tactical adaptability and willingness to push down the right flank make him a valuable asset to any team looking for a quick and effective solution.

Current Frimpong club Bayern Leverkusen seem reluctant to part with their young prospect unless a substantial offer arrives. This could complicate negotiations for Chelsea, who are looking for an immediate solution to his problem on the right wing.

Frimpong's situation could trigger an auction between interested clubs, as his potential does not go unnoticed. In addition, his performance in the Bundesliga has aroused the interest of several European teams.

Chelsea, in their quest to strengthen their squad, will have to make strategic decisions in the coming days, considering both Frimpong's availability and Bayer Leverkusen's financial expectations. The club's fans will be keeping an eye on any developments in this story as the transfer market enters its final stage.

He didn’t get called up for the Dutch squad because he rejected an invitation to play for the u21 squad over the summer.

Seems a bit harsh to me.

He’s usually getting call ups for the senior squad and obviously playing many games at a high level for Leverkusen and they want him to do a full summer this year too at u21 level?

They’re asking too much of players these days.

It was the U21 Euros tbf. The majority of players there were coming off a full season of good standard football.

Still harsh yeh but he shouldn’t of turned his nose up.

He had to play club football and go to a world cup, he had every right to say no. His body needed a break. Should be using u21s to check the next players not use your full internationals.

Yeah it’s not about turning your nose up though.

It’s meant to be a summer on and a summer off. He’s essentially being asked to just play football and travel every summer. They already do too much at senior level without adding in u21 level too.

They really are taking the * these days.

He shouldn’t be punished for it but its not like it was friendlies.

He never played at the WC. He was at a glorified training camp for the entire time.

The final of the Euros was on the 8th, his first friendly would of been on the 21st and he probably would of been given an extra week off to the 2nd friendly on the 29th. Thats not bad for time off.

The were out in the groups anyway. Almost a full month off.

When you’re not actually a regular and you’re fighting for a spot, you should be looking to impress. Plenty of players did and got moves in the summer, Gravenverch and Van de Ven for example.

It’s a one off summer, how is it every summer? He wont be turning down the Euros or WC for a summer off.
