Always thought he had the potential to go right to the top, and for someone like Barca or Madrid to come in for him. Hopefully works out for him, seems a likeable guy as well.

If the story about Real Madrid wanting to buy him and Celtic are in line for windfall rumoured to be around 7-10m are true then I'd be delighted for the lad cos I liked him as a player when he was here and was a bit gutted when he was sold. Good to see his career's going so well.

I honestly don’t think he wanted to go lennon and Celtic had * yo in the transfer market * up in Europe unfortunately Jerry was the only one could sell for decent fee and not weaken team majorly and recoup some fees

He wanted to go. He was working his ticket in the summer. There were a few Bundesliga teams sniffing about. I got told he was off to Germany in September that season. Dortmund was another team that was having a look at the time.

 

Is it rumoured 30% we get off this?

 

I would think that whatever the percentage we get be it 30% or something lower it is on the profit rather then the full transfer fee they get. But even still if he gets sold for 40m euro that is a solid sell on fee for us given we sold him to Leverkeusen for about 13.5m euro. That would be almost 8m euro for us if the 30% sell on profit clause is accurate.
