We should be doing everything thing in our power to sign him if we want to progress as a team, thought he was immense last night. If he signs he will get plenty of game time here

Sign him, give him the LB position and let KT work on earning that spot.

Defensively Shclupp and AJ were incredible

Guy defended like Maldini last night, as did AJ.

    * immense. Schlupp brought that physicality I've been going on about for years.

If he played that full first leg, we'd be into the next round now. Thats how good he was. Some player. I hope he wants to stay and we offer him a contract.

He was a * joke last night. Genuinely, a top class defensive performance and he seemed to be so smart in certain circumstances. When it looked like he was going to run into danger or he was struggling to find a pass, he would go down under minimal contact, buy a free kick and get the team to settle back down and Bayern to retreat. I think we, as a club, could do to learn how to do that more. Engels, Idah and Maeda could and should have went down a few times and tried to be too honest.

Sign him if the wages are right. He’s a utility man as well as a LB and Tierney won’t play every game.

I mean Maeda took a hit to the face and ref did * all in the build up to goal.

But everything about Schlupp is beyond articulation for me... sublime stuff.

Genuinely believe we should sign him and make KT work for it. It is Schlupp's position to lose if we can get him permanently

Its funny because so many of us have been asking for it for ages. It's finally happened and see the difference it makes.

The entire back 4 last night. Strong and physical guys.

Replicate it in the midfield and we will be fine.

It is a market we should look at to supplement our squad, obviously we need to be careful with injury histories and legs going with players around that age and we need to balance it with player trading but having guys like Schmeichel, Schlupp and our own McGregor, you have a real core of experience backed up with big game mentality from guys like CCV, Johnston and Jota.

You then have potential in the likes of Engels. I actually think going forward we need a couple more at both end of that scale as we have a strong core of mid to late twenties players.

    Johnston
    Tierney
    CCV
    Trusty
    Hatate
    Jota
    Kuhn
    Maeda

All fit that age profile, add a couple of Engels types and a Schlupp plus one other and I think we have a strong squad.

It’s the best our defence has looked in a long time, balanced and powerful with ability to play out from each side.

Bayern targeted Taylor in the first leg overloading that side, tried the same against Schlupp and he swept everything up.

We need to get him signed in the summer, just imagine how dominating he would be in midfield with KT at left back.

Yeah he has certainly surprised me . Wasn’t that fussed when he was linked , but has been really decent and last night outstanding. Good that he can play a few positions as well . Good that we can see him for the rest of the season and if carries on e decent form a contract in the summer. A definite upgrade on taylor .

Looks solid and dependable, happy to have him in the team.
