I doubt they'd throw Mangala aside so hastily, mainly because of the price-tag. I'd love if we could get Denayer back here on loan for a season.

Now that we're showing a bit of ambition getting Rodgers in, we should look again at getting Denayer back in. Defence has got to be the priority going into the qualifiers and Denayer would be perfect in beside Sviatchenko.

Rodgers loves to play it out from the back and Denayer can do that. A year at an ambitious Celtic playing in the champions league would be perfect for him.

If it's only a year loan it will make the defence solid while Rodgers gets settled in.

With City's clusterf:celt_2:k at the back, I think Pep's gonna wanna see how Denayer can play full time. If not, I wouldn't mind a loan or purchase If we really wanna show ambition...

Even for a loan? He's still only 20, the league will be better next season and we'll show some ambition now to get into the champions league. VVD showed the progress a player can make at Celtic.

Rather we bought another CB, otherwise we end up with the same situation in having to find a new partnership in defence every season. Good cb's out there we can get to slot in next to Erik.

Maybe not for a loan but I suspect he'd be right up Pep's street.

Would be amazing if we managed to get him back on a permanent deal. Maybe the board will surprise again? Doubt it though, Denayer is highly rated and I think he will get a chance under Guardiola. Please come back Jason! He was such a goal threat for us! :shamrock:
