I think Kosceilny has been probably the best CB in the Premier league this year, especially since Christmas . Zouma looks like a real player for the future aswell. Agree with the overall point though , the quality of centre half has declined massively in that league . ( That league is general has declined massively , and is a * bore imo )

Probably because of Christie's dad tbh. He's in the media. He's always on BT Sport whenever we play them.

Again, ridiculous. Would love to compare them in 3/4 years time.

That makes it even worse, what a piece of * 'award' :52:

It should be called the Football Writers Young Scottish Player of The Year then and laughed it for being utterly ridiculous.

I'll believe it when I see it.

I watched part of a City game the other day and he would start for them if I was manager.

Gutted today was his last game here. He's been a revelation, never for a minute thought he would be as good as he turned out to be. Him and Virgil had a fantastic partnership and were the heart of the defence that conceded the least amount of goals in about 100 years.

Thanks Jason, and I * hope we get you back for a while.

Koscielny, Mertesacker, Kompany, Demichelis, Vertonghen, Terry are all better now than Jamie Carragher ever was.

Mertesacker had 100 caps for Germany before he turned 30. Carragher barely even played for England and often filled in at right back when others were injured. Reminds me of John O'Shea. Just because he was there for ages doesn't mean he was a great player.

Unlike Guidetti this man I will miss he is a star in the making and will go on to big things in his career. I wish you all the best big chap and will always keep an eye out for u like I do with all former Celts.

It's not entirely out of the question for him to make a return here next season but I'd be very surprised if he does.

What a player though, really. I mean I never expected him to be as good. The comparisons with him being a younger Kompany were actually bang on for once. A real privilege to see him here for one season as I think in 5-6 years time we will wonder how we ever managed to get him in the first place.

Really going to miss not having him and VVD at the back together. For the first time in a long time I have genuinely always felt safe when the ball came back towards our goal, that is something usually quite rare. Always in command and they have a partnership which works both on and off the field. Going to be a sad day not seeing them in the same line up.

Thanks for the fantastic season big man.

He will definitely be world class in a few years and should be starting for City next season. They would be mental to let him go back out on loan (unless it's back to us).
