That's true and Denayer is a special talent and I we will look back and be glad he was here, but it will leave us going into the unknown a little or even worse the known with Efe and maybe Charlie or a untried new player.

We can't afford to be in the situation where we will be breaking in a new CB pairing as we prepare for the CL qualifiers.

Not against loans under any circumstances and you're right Denayer is a big part of this season. We need loan to buy or 2yr options.

Hopefully we can get him for another year, but don't think it will happen.

It's a risky strategy and one we have not much control over.

Hard to disagree with him. I said the exact same yesterday. I genuinely think he could get into their starting X1. Hopefully I'm wrong and we can get him back of course, but I don't see it happening unfortunately.

Young player of the month for March. If it wasn't * of the league to do so, he would get it every month, fs.

Would eat my own * for a year to keep this boy, unreal talent.

I'm kind of resigned to losing him now. Don't really know what else to say.

He will go on to good things. Good luck.

We are going to have a few gaping holes in our squad next season, here's hoping we can stop the holes widening further, and plug the holes with some smart quality signings.

I think he might stay another season.

For what it's worth, I think he'd do a better job than Mangala but he'll be lucky to start ahead of him and there's no way he's starting ahead of Kompany (when he gets back to his best) or Demichelis. City will probably add another centre-half this summer, as well. So, if he leaves, he'll be moving on to another club on another loan deal or, perhaps, a permanent one or wasting away in their elite development squad.

If we can't find a decent centre-half to replace him, I wouldn't be opposed to bringing in Rekik or Bossaerts if they're still on City's books.

I'd agree he's on a trajectory to the top. But as good as Varane? Not for me.

Having class like him for a year is ok with me, if we'd signed him last year and he'd played this well we'd be selling him on after 1 year 2 at best, so it does me.
    Keep sending them up city.

Why not? Won't know unless he gets threw in at that level. I think he could certainly pass at that level, especially considering the other duds you see swanning around at the elite level, like Demichles. :56:

I just think at this moment in time that Varane is a better player. Although he has two years on Jason, so who knows.

Someone has been listening to too much Andy Townsend. Demichelis has been solid for a long time. Far from the biggest problem in that defence.

I dont think it is even comparable at this point, to be honest. I'm just saying he looks like he has all the talent to be held in that company. Time will tell...the next City coach liking him would be a start.

I've heard from a Belgian journalist that he doesn't want to renew his contract with Man City unless he gets game time. If they don't expect him to play next year after evaluating him in preseason they may be looking to sell :35:

    Wishful thinking CSC :54:
