i honestly think that tops it :smiley-laughing002:

" City get first option on a player they rate highly " " he can get a big move to City " to describe a player who already plays for Manchester City .

Today saw Manchester City hand a new deal to veteran centre-back Martin Demichelis. The Argentine World Cup finalist had a woeful start to his City career, but has gone on to become one of their star players in recent times.

The decision to hand Demichelis a new deal came a day after they agreed to let Matija Nastasic join Schalke 04 suggests the club are happy with their current central defensive options.

So how is this great news for Celtic fans?

The Glasgow club has strongly benefitted from the loan signing of talented Belgian youngster Jason Denayer this term. The 19-year-old has been a star player for Celtic, playing 18 games for the club since arriving in August.

In December Celtic boss Ronny Deila admitted he wanted to keep him for next season as recently as December, as reported by the Glasgow Evening Times.

However Denayer has himself stated to the Daily Record last month that he wanted to return to City, as he hoped to make the first-team at the club.

If Demichelis had departed then yes, he might have had a chance. Now however, with Eliaquim Mangala, Demichelis and Vincent Kompany at the club his chances are very slim. Not only that, but let’s be honest, City will probably splurge on another centre-back this summer.

With that in mind Denayer’s first-team chances with City look bleak, which will hopefully lead to a Celtic Park return for 2015-16.

Could this give us a little hope of having him next year....

Problem with Denayer is that even if he does come back on loan it might not be until the end of August, if City perhaps decide to have him in pre-season training and during the start of the season.

Never count anything out in football, but the time to be wanting to sign Denayer is surely gonna be in January, when the fee will be more reasonable.

I wouldn't bet against him making the first team squad at City. Denayer and Kompany would be a cracking pairing in central defense.

What are the chances of it happening though? Probably not impossible, but he deserves a chance so i think he may well take Boyata's place on the bench.

A new manager will probably go to City, so i guess everything can change quite quickly.

I'd have Denayer in a starting line up over Demichelis any day.

I think he'll go to another league to be honest, but I hope he stays.

I think he's brilliant for such a young guy.

This is coming from the guy that called me a roaster in the Adam Matthews thread for saying he was poor when he was playing * a few weeks ago.

    Oh the hypocrisy!. :smiley-laughing002:

He is a great young player and lets be honest Man City are never going to give him game time. Even though all always get pelters for suggesting it, we should try and sign him outright. I reckon we can do it if we show some balls. It is the player we would need to convince more than City in my opinion. Coming here for a few years would be great for him.

Random Black Guy , to say Denayer is * is just as stupid as to say he is about to become the greatest defender in the world .
I imagine he is somewhere in between and although everyone should be entitled to his opinion , I think yours is definitely very extreme.

How would showing more balls encourage City to sell him . Who should we show these balls to and where do we get the balls from

Sean explain yourself . How much are you prepared to wager ? And how are you going to prove yourself correct ?

I have a feeling you are a self made man . No one else would claim to have created anything as stupid .

Demichelis is good, he's definitely better than Denayer but Denayer has plenty of time to improve.

Just a quick note on Demichelis, an absolute scapegoat down there while Kompany gets away with murder.

If Man City are to keep Denayer but want to loan him out again then it most likely won't be to us and who can blame them, they'll want to see him tested in a much tougher league week in, week out to see his progress. The dutch league or another club in England perhaps.

Call it as I see it, don't get me wrong I'd love him to be here again next season but just can't see it.
