Zaliuksas is a very solid player, and he dozen't take any prisoners, and he was brilliant against us the other night there at Tynecastle. Berre is also a very commanding and accomplished centre back. They both would be excellent with us I reckon, rather than some of the * we have currently who couldn't swat a gnat.

 

Well I don't agree about Thomson and Zaliukas so I'll leave those two.

Berra would certainly be good enough for the SPL but I always have one eye on Europe when I look at a player and I'm not sure how Berra would fare at that level. Like I say, I probably would take him but only at a reasonable price. I think Wolves would be looking for £5-7million for him and there's no way I would pay that.

 

our second half display invited pressure onto us time and again and he was always the last man stopping a cross coming in or mopping up, how many corners did utd have in the second half.. I think to have a go at him is very very unfair.. we actually have a good defensive record with maj and rogne, how many goals have they conceded as a partnership? not many that's for sure.. the problems is killing games off.. the fact is utd are a good side and they will score goals against the old firm this season you cant go sacking your defenders for letting in one goal, I have been happy with the defense.. if anything its the midfield that let us down, not enough dig or fight, not protecting the defense enough utd passed and over powered them for spells and not chipping in with goals to help the cause

 

who has that partnership been up against?? maj is a poor defender! no point talking about him doing this or doing that in the game. the game lasts till the ref blows the final whistle and he was found wanting for dundee utds goal. thats a fact ! if he had headed it clear we would have had the 3 points but he didnt so he didnt do his job! why does everyone seem to have an excuse for maj when every other defender gets abused for every mistake??

 

How can you be content with the defence ? I would only give Izaguire pass marks in defence. Lennon criticized the centre backs for allowing Dillon a free header from only six yards . Where was Rogne and Majstorovic then ? Majstorovic has cost us goals all season, giving away unnecessary free kicks outside the box which have lead to goals, because he dives in, his distribution is awful, he has limited pace, just because hes big and strong hardly makes him a good centreback. We need better than both Majstorovic and Rogne if we are going to win the league IMO, and Wilson is not up to the mark either. They do not function well as a defence at all.
No cohesion, understanding or proper communication between them. Maybe there is a language barrier between these four.

 

I dont think people realise Majsotrovic has played every single game this season club and country and he has been a one man defence at times, he was yesterday anyway, all i heard Majstorovic has cleared this and that, hes obv going to be knackerd, we need to get rid of loovens and bring in 2 good CBs

 

because he cant be everywhere at once, he needs to be though, as noone else seems to be trying to get it away, hes not in swedens starting 11 for nothing, he is actually good, best CB we have had in a while just need others to step up

 

We've conceded the fewest goals so far in the whole SPL, our defence isn't a problem. It's better than it's been in years.

Aye because Majstorovic has been in the defence, just think if we bought a good centre back like Campbell or O'shea and get back Hinkel we would have the best defence in scotland with Majstorovic - new centre back - hinkel and izzaguirre

Get rid of Cha hes pish ok going forward but pish at defending, and where is Hinkel a dont want to start a new thread asking if hes injured or summin?

 

Hinkel is injured mate with a cruciate knee injury. We probably won't see Hinkel ever in a Celtic jersey again, as I think he will be allowed to go for free quietly at the end of the season, Lenny dozen't seem to rate him I have heard. As for Campbell I don't want to see that * ever in a Celtic jersey, but yep Cha does not cut the mustard either.

That is a REAL blow, Hinkel has been 1 of our best right backs in a long time if not the best. I dont know why Lennon can't see it, if thats the case we need a top notch right back to go with the centre back and release Cha in January.

Majstorovic is not * m8 hes trying to do a 2 man job at the back every game, Loovens punt him, Hooiveld not the player I thought he was gonna be and Rogne is too young just now Rogne has great potential but not just now, if we get a good centre back in january you will notice a big difference in Maj

 

Aye mate he doesn't like playing there, prefers playing defensive midfield or right midfield

 

Ok ill see after january.. must be a nightmare playing with loovens or hoovield
