I think today’s game v Sydney showed our depth is nowhere near where it needs to be. Abelguaard was hochin, so awkward on the ball and Guchi was just as bad. Welsh got burnt, was embarrassing really how badly he got left behind.

We definitely need some upgrades.

 

There were a few players who should have taken the opportunity to show us what they can do but it never happened today. It definitely showed that we need to punt a few and hopefully get some new blood in who can step into the first team when needed.

I think if we bring in another striker we could see more of Kyogo getting minutes wide or playing in behind the main striker, even when we're short with injury in midfield/wide I think Ange has been reluctant to play both at the same time because you want to keep one of them safe. If we do bring in another striker it would depend on the type of player aswell, if he was a pure striker like GG that would be competing for that one spot, or a more versatile player like Kyogo/Maeda that have experience playing up top and across the attacking midfield positions.

 

Better off bringing in someone on a permanent deal or a loan with an option to buy. It's a chance to have a player fully settled for next season.

No we don't. If we sell JJ for £15m, we will spend a large chunk of that on a striker and a replacement right back I would imagine.

We sell jj or any ither 1st teamer we will get an upgrade on him, thats the whole philosophy. Buy then sell at a profit and gradually improve the quality each time. That is until Ange leaves and we regress and start all over again with Lenny
