    Jaap Stam, Didier Drogba, David Ginola and Rivaldo all could have been Celtic players. :54::56:

    Completely understand where you are coming from and agree that we are all guilty of looking at things from a biased perspective but the sad fact is that the majority of players we go in for have probably never heard of 80% of the teams we face domestically.

    The league we play in is always going to prevent us from fulfilling our potential as a club moving forward during to the fact that there is minimal revenue and the standard is mocked by the mainstream media across the continent. As sad as it is, players with no connection to the club would probably choose a payday in the English championship over the likes of Dingwall, Rugby Park and Hamilton.

    There will always be those that think they're above us but we should just move on to the next target. Attitudes like that of Guidetti & Denayer could be contrasted against the likes of Roberts & Sinclair, who could quite easily have got another club down south but chose to come to Celtic instead.

    The league standard in my mind is no less than the likes of Belgium, Kazakhstan etc. and there are some good players in those leagues that clearly don't mind facing lesser known teams.

    Van Dijk's agent said he had more lucrative contract offers but chose Celtic as he realised it was going to be the best move long-term for his development. Similar was said by Moussa's agent. There's always going to be those chasing the cash right now but there's definitely players out there who have a more holistic approach to their career and what better way to entice them than showing them the success of the World's most expensive defender that's now probably on £150k per week.

    from parkhead glasgow but now live in merseyside

    People like Jerry St Just went for 3 million in the summer he is in the same mould as VVD and would habe sorted out our centre half problem as well.

    The players are out there I don' know why so many fans sell our club shirt.

    If anything it' been shown in the last few years if you come to Celtic you have a platform to showcase the talent you have.

    Players who come to Parkhead will never forget the first time they walk out before a game. It's * magical.

    Neil Mccann confirmed in his press conference Dundee had rejected a ‘very low’ bid from Celtic for Jack Hendry.

    Is this the ‘quality’ we’ve been working on?

    Ripped it up for Olympiacos that season as well, still pains me! Literally the perfect Henrik replacement we deserved. Got Henri * Camara on loan instead.

    Like others been very patient with the club and transfers but * Hendry is * he isn't going to improve us domestically never mind in Europe. Finding the right quality player isn't as hard as we are making out, clubs work on and look at players outside the transfer window so the fact this has been taken to the last week is a failure from Rodgers and all those involved In transfers.

    * sort it out Celtic

    Aye, it's definitely starting to become a wee bit concerning now is our lack of transfer activity.

    What the * is going on?
