Our wage structure is likely the issue I would assume, yeah we could go out and probably nab a bargain of two or three players around a fairly reasonable sum of £4mill-£8mill each who are experienced and established to an extent because we technically have the money to do so.

However wages will be a sticking point, as if we offer the 3 players each a 4 year year deal at the wages they went (for arguments sake say £65k weekly) it's what that sets off with current players asking for more money so then suddenly we got a first 11 all on £45k week or more and at our level it's not sustainable unless we can assure the sale of a Wanyama/vvd and CL group stage football every season.

And we've seen it before in previous annuals that a player sale without CL football is what makes up most of our profits, frustrating Celtic sit on a very thin line because our league is worthless.

Senna's posts over the last couple of pages are spot on, imo.

Some people are trying to make out fans are wanting ten million players on 100 grand a week all the fans want is 5 million pound fee players who can improve the team on wages of 35 to 40 grand a week and fans understand that only half the team should be in that just now from what i can tell only two people are on those wages sinclair and brown celtic finances we should be able to achieve in 6 transfer windows half a team of experienced European quality on wages of 30-40 grand and other half proven break through players on 15 to 25 grand a week it us sustainable with celtics growing finances right now we are in our fourth window with Brendan

Sturridge does look like fake news , but I read it on Celtic news now . Always thought that site had some credibility attached to it . Obviously wrong

News now, is a site that gathers every new set source for that topic and provides the links. [Your Interest]newsnow. It can be either the Herald or it can be a Celtic blog it provides news sources from.

Love Brendan’s lines “we will only do business if it’s the right type of person” that’s becoming the same as the “we tried but couldn’t get it over the line” quote!

Provan giving it large about lack of cash in the scum!

Hmmm let me think. £1.2m spent already. Everyone at the club basically on holiday since new year...

Still got 17 days of the window left. Maybe should have waited to do that piece come first Sunday of February...
