I hope not, it's too late in the window for us to get a replacement. The scouting team have only had 12 month's notice, we can't expect miracles from them.

Owen Coyle will know who he wants to bring in. He's been thinking about this moment for years.

McKenna and Shankland in immediately. Can't wait for the first Old Firm clash.

Completely different era, on paper yes 100% but Rodgers has not had a major challenge from another team like a very strong Zombie side or the team that died.

I understand that you can only play the teams who are put in front of you but the league was stronger during MON time IMO

The monkeys were only stronger due to them using money they never had, they were and still are dirty cheating *. I do agree though that O’Neills team were a far better side, that’s not even a debate imo.

Compared to the league then and now I would say MON had it harder and more of a competition. They are cheating * pigs but they did have a very strong side compared to anything that Rodgers has faced in his time at the club.

Nothing's changed then, still using money they don't have.

    This.

Said this before no point in having lots of squad fillers who contribute nothing when you could save a huge amount of money on transfer fees and wages and get quality players in that will make a difference.

Makes so much sense but the board are too thick to understand this.

Our board an embarrassment and will always take our support for granted. It took the top tier of a stand to close to get Rodgers in and it wasn’t even a board decison by all accounts.

The irony is they think they conduct their business so professionally, think they are are above criticism and always take the moral highground but are actually complete amateurs who insult and take the * out of our players and selling clubs when it comes to negotiations, both to the detriment of the progress of our club.

The * have a cheek to leech off the charitable aspect of our supporters but can’t even bring themselves to pay our employees the living wage, whilst employing tories who think people in poverty and the unemployed are * on their shoe.

Some people laugh off the suggestion that the board want a title race and want the animals to be competitive with us. If those people can put forward any evidence which suggests otherwise I’d be amazed.

Just listening to Brendan comments about transfers!

Reading between the lines and the reports
From dependable media people we have moved for 2 right backs

Castange at Atalanta willing to pay £5m they have said £10m

We have then turned our attentions to the Norwegian boy playing in Greece willing to pay £4m but they want £8m

So do we really want to sign a 3rd or 4th choice right back off our list?

For me no! Unless one of the aforementioned suddenly become available I can see our business being done but I hope and don’t expect it to be tbh! Something will surely come up!!!

If the first two are unobtainable - and if those valuations are correct, they were always unobtainable - then yes.

There are no doubt dozens of right-backs available for less than £4m who would be a better option than Lustig or Ralston; we should be able to find one of them.

Said it many times. Rodgers wants a quality of player that the board are unwilling to pay for, this is why we are ending up with Loans all through the team.

Its simple we have de Vries Mulumba Allan Hayes Hendry Gamboa Miller Simunovic Benyu Bitton and Kouassi ( them 2 been injured ) who hardly get a game . If we get rid of them it frees up money to get the 2 or 3 quality players we need . Every other club seems to get rid of players they dont want why cant we . We hang on to these players until there contracts run out surely there are teams out there who would sign these players

if rodgers thinks we should or are in a position to pay £8m to £10m for a right back then he is off his nut

dont believe all half decent right backs are upwards of £5m £8m £10m

but then again we do know the richer leagues are being allowed to suck the football world dry of talent and have them sitting in their huge squads with very little chance of playing first team football, this means theres less talent available and then when anyone comes around asking the transfer cost is exhorbitant

eufa and fifa need to get some balls to sort these rich * leagues out

    Rodgers wanted Jack Hendry.

Our problems run much deeper than the board.

According to Rodgers comments during/after each transfer window, except the summer, we have done well in providing what he has wanted. People need to start realising, while the board have many faults, 8 times out of 10 they have backed Rodgers in what/who he wants. It's got to the stage now, after so much dross being signed, when I wouldn't blame the board for * it when he/congerton put forward their recommendations.
