Have to disagree with you.Scoring goals against azerbijan is not the highest quality stage.

But i do think he has quality and would work well with Big Jan

Now we can see WGS's hand now...Lafferty is a terrific prospect, young, fit and strong....the ideal cover for big Jan at only £ 500,000...Oh Boy...what a bargain !!!

I will be gutted if we sell him for £500k.

He has bags of potential and has the makings of a very good all round striker. He's reasonably quick and covers a lot ground chasing down defenders. To use a cliche he's got a good touch for a big man. One of the reasons he hasn't started much for Burnley is partly down to the fact he has yet to mature physically and Steve Cotterill doesn't want to put to much pressure on him.

Personally I'll be dissapointed if he leaves for less than a million though I'd be tempted to hold out for £2m.

I just think when people say that internationals are the highest level it's not accurate.Maybe the latter stages of the World Cup or Euro Finals but if i remember correctly it has been a while since Ireland have been there.Latter stages of europe as well.Im not disputing whether he has the quality to walk into our team because i believe he does.He just hasn't really proved or totally convinced me that he is worthy of such praise

He was very good in the WC 2002 campaign from start to finish and we had to play the likes of Holland, Portugal, Germany, Spain, Cameroon in that and friendlies with the likes of Brazil, Argentina, Holland and Portugal again.

He was our main striker and he did very well so yea, in Keane's case he did play to a very high level at international, not to mention all time record goal scorer.

I dunno how people think that he wouldnt do well in the SPL, maybe the value for money wont be there but we'd definately have a great striker.

Go away you fool, thats the most laughable thing i've ever heard. Stonewall you are just as big an idiot.

Explain to me exactly how Beattie has proven himself better than Keane in his "illustrious" career :56::56::56:

Scored a hattrick albeit San Marino but still a hattrick and it was Sweden before that.

I think you need to explain how he wouldn't walk into the team ahead of Miller, Zurawski and Beattie. You made the stupid comment, not me.

The 3 aint been consistent and Keane has achieved more in the game, at 26, than the 3 combined.
