I get that.. and hope he absolutely seizes his chance.. he was excellent yesterday..

He's done absolutely nothing in a lot of starts this season his form has absolutely been patchy..

If he has a dip, he needs help.. or it will be detrimental to is confidence..

It would be negligence not to sign another ST..

 

Maeda plays through the middle for Japan and was the top scorer in Japan when we signed him. Just cos we haven't played him there doesn't mean he can't play there. Idah possibly has more goals per minutes played than Kyogo this season and 3 in the CL for very few minutes.

 

And yet he’s only played as a striker for us a handful of times. Rodgers has said himself he wants another striker.

We’re massively short there.

 

If three of them have went to London anyone suspect we could bring edouard back on loan if we are in talks with palace

I agree 100% another striker is an absolute must this window but your post above could describe Kyogo too so I don’t think losing him is the biggest issue. It would be losing him and not replacing him which is the problem.

That being said going from Kyogo to Maeda through the middle isn’t the drop off a lot would have you believe, on their form the past 18 months you could argue it would be an improvement.

But aye we need a striker before 11 tonight.

 

It doesn't matter whether some of us think we're okay with the squad we've got.

The manager has flat out said he wants another striker. A failure to back him and get one in isn't acceptable.

 

So are you trying to say, as well... we're not weaker in selling Kyogo and not replacing him?

You didn't answer my points.

 

We know it's happening regularly but how many here can explain the logic behind it or exactly what we are trying to achieve. Do we identify top targets and can't make deals? Is this the plan every window or are we just failing. What are we doing to improve after we have had previous comments from BR saying its not good enough. Why did we sell players without replacements lined up? So yes I don't understand and I don't think many others will either.

 

Time will tell. Possibly not. Depends on Idah and Maeda if he gets played as striker.

 

Can’t argue his forms been patchy but he’s not started a lot of games this season apart from 6 in the last 4 weeks where he’s been good in half of them anyway and that’s the last 3 or 4 being kind cant mind but he was good recently away at County without scoring. First 4/5 months he was hardly getting any starts but still came on and scored a few goals.

 

Id be happy enough with schlupp.. he could sign permanent as free agent in summer and then be a great utility player/back up to Tierney from the bench. Would mean Taylor is moving on . I just hope if a striker comes in it's more guiu than ings

Let’s be honest apart from the recent game up at Dingwall Kyogo was anonymous in the majority of away games last 2 seasons in the league.

 

Maeda is having his most productive season with us from the left.. he'll be brutal v an organised low block..

Idah, what if he gets injured? Or his form goes out the window..

I find it mental people are settling for this.. can't get my head around it ...
