Think Oh was believed to be the Giakoumakis replacement and also fit the mould in physicality….plus was just under half the value we bought him for and then sold for.

Idah was definitely bought overpriced due to the English market/we backed ourselves into a corner. But if Rodgers knew kyogo wanted away in the summer then idah was bought with that 100% in mind otherwise we’d have signed 2 strikers that window if he wasn’t a kyogo replacement.

Idah matches the physical stature most of the strikers Rodgers has signed as a manager. It really wouldn’t be a surprise if he saw the eventuality of replacing kyogo with him.

The squad needs to be strengthened - I think the board are in agreement on that. I just dont think they see the urgency to do it in this window given how the season has gone. They have clearly gone after targets, so far largely unsuccessfully. But they will see Jota and Tierney as significant wins. So its not a case of them being unwilling to sign players. If the league was in the balance, then I think it would be different. But the insurance of the points lead has reduced the urgency to get big signings in.

Hellas Verona are closing in on the signing of Odense BK centre-back Tobias Slotsager.

It’s understood a fee of £832,000 has been agreed between the clubs.

Think you're looking at wrong, Idah is still young and his form has been patchy.. Kvistgaarden would have been ideal both similar ages, similar fee.. and both would give you different options..

That's what we need, not an Oh type project we need quality.. and if we don't get a replacement in today then we're a shambles.. and there's no argument with that..

Think most would like kvistgaarden to be the striker we sign, but ignore his price and any other players price, the issue is we need a second sticker and we aren't doing that.

Playing the system we do with two wingers. If you look at other clubs that play this system (which a lot do), how many of them have two strikers that rotate and share the burden?
