The club has fairly conditioned some to make every excuse under the sun about the supposed complexity of transfers.. meanwhile our manager actively tried to push back against that a matter of hours ago.

Potentially. Although I wouldn't put your money on a deal getting done for Orjasaeter :fear:

Main striker has given months notice was leaving.

Around £27m profit this financial year from player trading, as we know £77m in bank, £60m or there abouts from UCL, record sponsorship revenue and merchandise.

You can see why people will be * * off if it's a loan striker and james penrice by 11pm tomorrow.

Am not fussed if we do any business as I have said but it does seem poor.

If we're loaning some striker, it better be an experienced player who is still keeping himself in good shape. A professional.

The manager is just one cog in the club. He is not the be all and end all.

Would be decent if the strikers alright.
If no Orjasaeter , average striker on loan and LB cover on loan this place will be bedlam.:56:

My point there was there’s generally far more that goes into it than most fans have had a glimpse of and understand, not that it’s that complex it’s * hard to do deal with the legalities with a team of experts.

but the players themselves can be difficult. He was saying if they’re talking to one club publicly there’s 4 or 5 odd that’s not known publicly, and 3/4 of them getting told definitely signing just sorting out some details hedging there bets

I don't even understand what he means by,

'They know why I came back. I'm here to enjoy my time in Celtic, not to fall out with myself and do all the things that sometimes I maybe didn't do the first time'

    Fall out with himself?

Do all the things that sometimes he didn't do the first time?

Whatever it is, it's exactly what everyone here has been dreading. The pantywetters, the naysayers, the non happy clappy among us. No LB cover, no replacement for Kyogo with 24hrs to go, no further forward with Orjasaeter, no links whatsoever with a CDM yet again.

Jota back is * brilliant, but the shitheads that run the club sure do know how to take the sheen off a good thing. They better have something good up their sleeves for tomorrow.

I've a feeling we still spend some money tomorrow on someone. BR mentions we've got the money and if we are looking at a loan for a ST and will either be KT or a loan for a LB then who else we spending on? The Norwegian boy maybe?

That’s some mental gymnastics on display to say Kyogo was our best player when he left.

We need to be careful also not to just bring in a player simply so that we've signed somebody else. We've did that before and the signing has been pointless and a waste of wages.

That Danish defensive midfielder springs to mind. Was it Abbelgaard? Or something similar. In Ange's 2nd season. He wasn't even pushing for a start. Lucky to make up the numbers on the bench. Not good enough for us and just s pointless loan signing. Loan signings in general are a risk. You either get a player who wants to impress and wants you to sign them permanently. Or lackluster players who won't put in 100% effort and risk injury of any kind, cause for them it's strictly temporary. It can go either way. They cannot be any kind of permanent solution. Picking up loan players every January is not the answer

Cause there was a deal to be had getting Jota in.

    Quite obvious...

It’s not quite obvious at all.

We could have signed Jota from them as he wasn’t favoured.

It's usually more their mental state that defines the loan player. Their attitude. Their level of drive and motivation.
I've seen some half hearted performances from loan players who seem uninterested and look like they really don't want to be in Glasgow in mid-winter, playing for Celtic. I've seen them barely try, pull out of tackles, hide etc cause to them being on loan isn't a good enough reason to risk an injury

They say they were two unrelated deals. But u know how it goes.....they wanted Kyogo and if we point blank refused to sell him to them then it's unlikely that they'd have been accommodating at all if we tried to sign Jota.

They got a figure between £8m-£10m for Jota. They were actively trying to sell him and they’re not going to cut off their nose to spite their face because we held off on selling our best striker.

There are other strikers in the world and there was other wingers in the world for us. I don’t think clubs are likely to be that petty when significant fees are being discussed.
