Getting Jota back is a brilliant but all the chat seems to be about KT now. Getting KT in this transfer window would be very nice instead of waiting until the summer, but it’s far more important we sign a quality replacement for Kyogo. Maeda can play as a striker but will be suspended and Kyogo is gone so we are going into the Champions League last 16 play play- offs with only ONE recognised striker who has been poor all season. If we don’t have a replacement striker lined up for Kyogo then he should never have been sold at this point, it could have waited until the summer.

Will be very disappointed and pretty disgusted if Kyogo is not replaced with some huge European games on the horizon.

 

Jota, Tierney, Kvistgaarden and Slotslager would be the best January window in my lifetime, and it's not even close.

Even just the first 3 would be an incredible window.

It looks like your probably right there which for me is a disappointment as I really feel that the lack of a true big physical holding midfielder is a big hole in our squad at the moment.

 

I completely agree feel its been one of the biggest areas where we have lacked for a fair few seasons now and unfortunately I would say your right this is another window where it looks like that it will not be addressed once again.

 

Been missing one since wanyama. Would love a player of that style again

All out for me, Kenny can apparently play for another team as LOI runs from march to November so it's a different window even though a Uefa comp.

 

Striker and Tierney will be nice. I'll be a little worried about the striker until we announce one.

 

On a CDM, they don't need to be big or particularly physical - just very good at winning ball back and not petrified to make a strong tackle (unlike our whole midfield today).
Can and should also be technically excellent - think Paul Lambert, Neil Lennon.
