Since June in sales of squad players we have made over £15m in guys who had no part to play at the club! £18m if you include the addon

He got an absolute howler wrong I think it was last transfer window. Escapes me what it was, had someone signed and was a lot of baws. Suppose the guy only posts what he is being told.

Loving the Bernabei sale and I'd happily take a couple more being moved on in this window also. Trim the fat, get some funds in to add something to the starting eleven.

Kuhn, an example many want to use as the sort that needs time, is exactly the example for this.

    Literally needs a few months.
I get he also had his weight issue as well, but he needed this time to get settled.

Bernardo took from August til December to find his feet.

Engels is just about finding stride.

All reason to agree, get the players in now if we can and have them ready for qualifiers.

Realistically mate no one here knows that for certain. I don't see it either tbf, but doesn't mean it will never happen

Overall with the Bernabei sale it might be record sales for a season.

    - O’Riley £26m
    - Johnston £3m
    - Oh £2.5m
    - Bernabei £4.6m
    - Lawal £2.2m
    - Iwata £1m
    - Kelly £0.4m
    - Vata £0.25m
    - Kobayashi £0.25m

So around £40.2m in and also meant to have got close to £1m for Giakoumakis’s move to Mexico.

    We have spent around £30-32m.

These figures don’t include add ons but the sales had more add ons than the purchases, although they will likely be realised in the future.

The above is before you consider any other sales such as Palma, Nawrocki and possibly Kyogo.

Even if Kyogo doesn’t move we still have decent money to spend before having. A net spend this season and will likely have a £15m or so OPEX profit.

Welsh can only be replaced by a homegrown essentially. Tierney would be the only likely candidate

Is it the guy that said a CB was coming in last January when Kuhn came in, but it turned out it was just Kuhn's agent getting a shirt printed?

@Foley1888 do you know more about these tax rules jota would be liable too if he came back to UK. My understanding is he would need to be away to after 6th April 2025 to avoid a hefty tax duty to play in UK again

Sorry I don’t know much about tax rules, I think the Jota issue would be down to him having been living and working in the UK prior to going to Saudi but I would be guessing.

I know that it was meant to be 2 tax year cycles to avoid tax didn't know if foley knew anything tax rules are quite specific tbh

As for my job it's a very complex and demanding role not only incorporating finance but also H&S and operational management crow
