We BADLY need this profile filled imo

The snouts ran over the top of us last year due the absence of this type of needed beast. Euro games were indicative of the need also.

If Ange fancies him ... Ill take him. But in saying that, the comments about him are a teeny bit worrying.

This can only be a project? Has the physical qualities wanted, but isn’t even first choice last season. What little stats that I can track down on him aren’t that impressive, he’s definitely no CDM destroyer with less than 2 tackles every 90. Has to be better out there?

I didn't see us signing an expensive number 6 who would be automatically first choice, felt like it was always going to be a project.

Reviews seem mixed on this guy, some of their fans saying the manager doesn't like him and he shouldn't be dropped, others treating him like he's comically bad.

As a rotation option I think we could do a lot worse.

    Weird one.

Yes he’s younger but there’s nothing concrete to say he’s a better player than Bitton currently.

More combative/less languid, but worse on the ball.

I agree. Have wanted us to properly look at central Europe for a while now.

Elsewhere, Jani Atanasov was a surprise name that was linked with a move to Glasgow's east end. Earlier this summer reports in Croatian and Macedonia suggested Parkhead chiefs were weighing up a move for the midfielder.

However, the 22-year-old looks set to stay with Hajduk Split. Slobodna Dalmacija report that Celtic have not firmed up their interest in Atanasov, stating that "other options" are further up the Parkhead wish list at this stage of the window.
