But Tonny Vennegoor of Hesselink, the striker's father and manager, told BBC Sport that they are looking at more than one option.

more than one option .. thats including us. not blatantly other options.. and not us just disregarded.. were the only ones whove agreed a fee with psv and discussing personal terms with his agent atm. .. so who is the favourites to sign this guy then ?? i dont see any other teams agreeing a fee. etc. hes playing hard ball ...to test celtic ... hoping celtic up thier offer for his terms a bit wich they probably will to some extent now ... but were his only real close option of a move .. otherwise he will stay at psv i think.

tbh we never offered anywhere near 5m pounds for any of those guys haselbank and fortune were bosmans just looking for big salaries....but we have offered a whopping 5m for Voh and its been accepted ... so i think celtic really want him tbh.. and they will have to come to an agreement with VOH himself for it to go forth .... still confident tho... as celts dont normally offer 5m on a player unless they mean serious buisness :50:

its far from faltering .tbh. i think VOH is wanting 1m for himself... thats the negotiations here... his wages we will be accepted and will be within our reason ... its the 1m pounds i think they may be toying over.

This is why pre-season is the most annoying time for every fan. The speculation, all pre-season is so annoying. We got first told we were getting him, then it turned out we wern't, and now we are again. The same happened with Graveson. He was mentioned, it died down and it turned out we wern't, and now were back to being 'close' to signing. I can't wait till this is all over.

never in a * lifetime of sundays would the celtic baord give a player a 1m signing on fee.

the fact hes demanding that speaks volumes about him.

    * the celtic board and * him, he can go play for bolton, score 7 goals a season and get relegated (altho i think theyre after anelka now). if he changes his mind and wants a career he can call us and see if we're still interested.

petrov will be going before the window closes... if thats to fund a few players then so be it ... i know petrov has been a great player n all ... but ya gotta realise he will be going sooner or later and i think it will be very soon...he never played on sunday wether he was injured or not is anybodys guess ... strachan etc says he doesnt want petrov to go but i think its more resigning to the fact that he will be sold... ffsk he want to go.. let him . and i think he will be allowed.. this week or next.

McManus's goal scoring record is probably better than JJVOH's. We need someone who can score goals
