5 mill for one player would leave the defence still very weak

You know what, don't wanna sound like a pessimistic b@stard but this is what I thought straight away. Why would he leave PSV for Celtic? They're in the same CL pot as us and they're in a better league. The only reason to move is money and if we're not going to give him £30k a week (which we won't), he might hold out for an EPL club.
    Really hope I'm wrong though.

its about time people saw wilson for what he is....poor to mediocre. he looks so uncomfertable with the ball at his feet.....reminds me of bambi on ice.....against ICT they were quite happy to leave him out wide unmarked because he couldnt do * all with the space anyway....he even struggled takn throwins ffs. I think after we tie up VOH, both the left back and right back positions seriously need lookn at.

Anno m8 what did I say earlier? Its all about the money!! If this guy is the real deal then he will command a big wage. Same as all top quality players. Why would he come to us for half what he can get elsewhere? FS Roy Keane got payed well and he was well over the hill. Why not pay a top class striker top a top class rate. In return we will score a lot more goals do better in tournaments and therefor more income will be generated. Quite simple when you look at it.

Because he wants a foreign adventure, he didn't want to Bolton but he really wants to Celtic, And your league isn't weaker than our, we've only got Feyenoord, Groningen, PSV, Ajax, AZ and Heerenveen who can play football, the other teams sucks. And don't worry, offcourse he wants to get at much money possible. You would do the same. And you're wages are much higher than that from PSV so dont worry, PSV highest wage is Cocu with 1.5M euro's in one year, (thats £19.5K a week). Vennegoor will earn around 1M euro so thats £13K a week.

Edit// I've just watched the "sportjournaal" and Vennegoor said that he had his first meeting. There was a huge difference between the wages but he think it all will be allright, it could be done in a few days but also longer....

This weekend he had a poor game but who didn't! The boy has been excellent since he came to us and everyone can see it. He has always looked comfortable when I have seen him. He also has a bit of pace and a good engine which is important in that position.

Lol. than he said other thing for the Scotish TV than for the Dutch TV :97:
He said the chance is big that it will all be allright. And that it could done within a few days but also longer. But just wait. But the difference between what they are asking is big

its still early days, he's going to push it for as much money as he can. same as any other transfer. How many times have u heard a club sayn "thats our last offer" then an increased one goes in the next day. Its like a game of cat and mouse but im sure there will be a middle ground after a couple of days and he will be wearn the hoops by the end of the week, there to much hype for it not to happen.
