    * knows how he got you lot to the Euros. He's a bit of a *. Clark and Wilson are excellent and O'dea is O'dea.

its actually 14 appearance and six as a sub out of 24, plus he is 30 years old and is a bench player for ireland seen as it is duff and mcgeady who start now, a know I would rather have mclean over a 30 year old player who has been average his hole career and doesn't really provide anything apart from hard work where as mclean provides hard work and a bit of end quality. mclean is a game changer where as hunt isn't

wilson is a midfileder and clark hasn't played that much for aston villa, a personally have been impressed with o'dea anytime i have seen him in an ireland top he always puts in a solid performance and is a better option than st.ledger imo

Wilson has played full back and centre back when at Portsmouth and Tony Adams said he was exellent as a CB. He is versatile and one of our best options so should be in ahead of O Dea. Clark has broken back into the Villa team again and is also versatile. No way should O Dea be in ahead of these two.

i have never seen clark play and i have never seen wilson play cb that why a would have o'dea ahead of them, and remember tony adams said he was going to be the next celtic manager so a would take his opinion with a pinch of salt. a still think o'dea is a better option than st.ledger who should be dropped for one of the players you mentioned if they are better.

And it's for reasons like this that I hope he won't continue as manager after the tournament.

We need new players blooded, damnit.

fair enough if he was injured....but when you arent an automatic selection for your country and you get the chance to prove yourself(friendly or not) you take that chance, stokesy had but he threw it away, doesnt deserve it imo

then the same should go for the boy kelly as well. trap was never going to pick stokes no matter what he did he simple doesn't rate the spl just look at mcgeady would hardly get a start when he played with us as soon as he left he was first choice

I would have been happy to see McClean included but to be fair he has only just emerged as a first team player at Sunderland. If he keeps going the way he is he will be in future squads but most likely after the Euro finals. I think players like Marc Wilson and Ciaran Clarke who have been around a bit longer and are playing regular first team epl football have more of a gripe at not getting picked.

Weird goal too. Mertesacker was on the ball and just went down in a heap with nobody near him on the edge of Arsenals box and McClean niped in and finished nicely in the far corner.

No but he deserves a chance, he's done enough to justify a call up. Hunt is hit and miss. I'd like to see a change of manager from Trap too unless the team do really well in the Euros in which case it would be hard to argue against keeping him on. His unwillingness to give certain players a chance is maddening especially as Ireland doesn't have a big pool to choose from.
