I disagree that he would not be a 1st team player, especially if Hartley & Naka leave (which looks likely).

We have a pretty young team & Crosas, Brown, McCarthur, McGeady & Maloney/McCourt/Mizuno would stand us in good stead for the next few years.

He's a fine player & one of the best young talents to come out of Scotland in a long time, the fact that ROI have picked him up is surely an indicator of his talent.

 

why are so many people sure he isnt up to the grade of first team football.naka,donati and hartley will be away in the summer so we will need to bring in at least one player.
and if wgs stays,im sure mc geady will be on his way.

 

defo take him, seems like a great little player and he wants to play for us thats the player we want. Scots-Irish aswell just to wind the huns up even more!!

 

he is celtic through and through so would always give 100% , hes still young , we can get him the now for about 1.5m but if we wait his value could go way up by january. a rate him more of a talent than that fleck from the darkside:bbpd:

I think an 18 year old central midfielder is the very very last thing we need, but am so used to these type of signings by the manger (squad padding, needless).

Maybe so mate but our whole squad is crying out for experience, plus Strachan is quite willing to neglect every other area of the park while persistently concentrating on the midfield area. * annoying it is.

Don't get me wrong i like McCarthy and do want him in the Hoops, but i just wish we would put the same amount of energy into positions that need urgent attention as we do on midfield.

 

Our long term plan is to buy them young and we give them their experience, get a core of young players and give them UCL experience together and get the team onto the next level by that method.

I would take him to be honest, hes a great talent with a huge future ahead of him, his agent also said he would snub a move to the premiership to join us as were his team of choice, heres hoping Lawell goes back in with a decent offer

 

Well Robson's old and now with injury problems... Crosas is suffering from some extremely subpar form, and Hartley is suffereing from poor form and ageing.

Suddenly CM seems like a position in trouble, does it not? And I've said this a thousand times... even if we didn't need him, he's one for the future, are you really willing to risk losing him to England just because we need other positions more? Ffs it's not like we're spending 10mil on him and he's going to be the only signing of the off season. For some crazed reason people on here think that we can only sign players in a certain order... most needed down to least needed. It's idiocy.

This guy's going to be special and we should snap him up as soon as we can.
