The deals for McCarthy and Bain were strange

 

Might as well play the useless *.

We've paid about £1.6 million in wages alone for him.

Maybe I'm overly sensitive about how much people earn compared to us working class peasants, but it does get on my *.

I'd honestly much rather instead of the Paradise Windfall being 10 or 15 grand at half time, actually give a fan a 3 year contract on 15k a week. Let the fan train at Lennoxtown, be in all the squads, travel away in Europe with all the players, eat in the canteen, sit in the dressing room before games and at half time and after games.

I'm actually at the stage where quite a lot of fans would do a better job than some of the dicks in our team.

 

Draw the line at getting in the team photo though.

 

The fan would maybe be better than half the dross we signed in the summer.

 

Lowland league rules state B team can have one player over 33 included in squad but he then cannot play for the 1st team.

Sad news as that's his 1st team career officially over.

Also having a chuckle at the thought of their being a countdown until his 33rd birthday last month and him eagerly awaiting to make his B team debut.

Insane he was given that long of a deal. I will admit when he first signed I thought at the time it was a decent signing for the short term but the length of the contract never made sense.

 

Absolutely disgusting how he has got away with it, oxygen thief comes to mind.
I would like to think that Celtic FC would learn from deals like this but we all know we will still offer long term deals for iffy players in the future.

 

Its not his fault that he got the deal he did. Should be paid off in Jan

 

Wonder what he himself thinks on it all. Surely with being a fan he’s buzzing he’s here and getting paid for it. But makes absolutely zero sense he’s never been available…made a good career out of it down south so surely the quality is there?

 

Injuries crippled him. Before his leg break he was a very energetic box to box player who could contribute everywhere on the pitch. His time at Wigan and his start at Everton really highlighted that. Afterwards he didn't have the mobility to get around the pitch so just became a pretty ordinary holding midfielder. He was a complete empty shirt for Ireland too, always hiding from the ball. It's a real shame because I think he had a ton of potential.

 

Now this is a documentary I would watch!

 

Haha definitely. Especially if they picked an ex pro/pro youth/junior or even a fairly tasty player and gave access to all the sports science, training, facilities etc.

Just pay him off for * sake and is the board that tight with the money they just prefer him sitting on his * on match days rather get a player in who be useful in games .
The amount of dross we have accumulated in this squad is frightening and tells you everything about our recruitment and needs to be questioned at the next press conference by Rogers who gets the final say so he says but which I doubt .
