Naismith is a good player should have snapped him up when he left Rangers tbh

I think your being a little unfair there. Guy is better than than, not blessed with fantastic ability true but better than you give him credit for & his desire & aptitude elevates him to being a good player. Scored a hat-trick against Chelsea a few months back so not bad for a guy that can't do any of that. If Forrest had half the work ethic of Naismith there would be no problem.

Barca have some of the hardest working players in World Football. No-one is too good to put in the graft, in fact the very best players usually do.

Does he even like playing football? Always gives me the impression that he'd rather be anywhere else than on a football pitch. He looked liked he couldnae be arsed yesterday and that's not the first time I've had that impression from him.

If he's not signing the new contract - show him the door. Only people that will miss him will be the wee girls that fancy him.

Chelsea were in free fall and nailed down near the bottom of the league.

What other big goals has he scored down there? He is * awful and a work horse, he can find space on a football pitch but I'll give him that but he is genuinely a shocking footballee.

I like players who can work hard, I just like them being able to actually be good at kicking about a football first. Naismith's technique is * awful, his dribbling is terrible, his passing shocking, 2nd touch is usually a header. He's another Kenny Miller. All work, no skill.

Those sort of players hold back Scottish Football.

You're right Forrest would be far better if he had better workrate though. Definitely.

Aye, dangerous for the fans in the stands. His crossing is utterly abysmal. If he was good at crossing he'd have more than 2 assists in 30 appearances, surely?

Just how can you defend him? Don't understand why some fans feel the need to defend clearly useless players like him & especially Ambrose. Is it just for arguments sake or do they actually believe these pathetic players deserve to wear our jersey?

Feeling sorry for players like Ambrose I just don't get, they're paid a disgusting amount of money each week to kick a ball about while we have to pay our hard-earned to watch it! Both need to get to * in the Summer.

Should be given a new contract to boost value... somewhat, then sold in the summer. Been dross for as long as I can remember and ain't going to get any better by the looks of it.

Him and Armstrong both have the same faults, both cut in from the wings and tee up a shot and balloon it over the bar! How the fxxx a player continually does the same thing is beyond me, do they not shoot in training?:47:

As much as I don't like that wee * Naismith, I'd have him ahead of Forrest every day of the week.

His workrate and commitment puts Forrest to shame.

He's been described as a poor player by some on here, but as I said earlier, workrate and effort will go a long way to you being successful. Something that Forrest severely lacks. That's why he'd never make it down there.

I really wouldn't I hate even seeing him in the Scotland team, you just know you're in for a frustrating game. All hustle and bustle.

I like players with effort but they need something else to back it up with.

If we were offered a swap with Naismith and Forrest I'd day just take Forrest eh? Give me a Shaun Maloney any day of the week.

I'd have Naismith over Forrest, but Maloney over any of them.

I can see why but for me Naismith is a guy who should be nowhere near a team that is trying to pass the ball about.

Genuinely one of the most frustrating things I've ever watched under WGS for Scotland.

Horses for courses I guess. Naismith does his best work without the ball. I've all but given up on James Forrest.

Naismith is a better player than Forrest. Which proves that hard work will always beat talent when talent doesn't work hard.

Forrest will only have himself to blame when ultimately he's remembered as being the wee quick guy that flung his arms in the air whenever someone came near him.

Naismith always seemed to give us bother when he played against us. Scored a good few times as well I hated the wee *, and that was when we were a much better team than we are today. Naismith is far superior to Forrest. Forrest is pish and should be playing for somebody like St Johnstone as far as I'm concerned.

Naismiths a * but I can't see why anyone would have Forrest ahead of him.

He's proven himself to be a very competent player down south and a bit of a big game player to boot. He'd be very useful in Europe.

    Both completely different players, mind.
