Thought he did ok, offered far more than Maeda anyway, looked quite lively. Prob should have scored at the end though.

No question made a difference when he came on albeit was pretty wayward with his shooting but Maeda just wasn't at the races at all today. Badly at fault for their second goal and just all round never got into the game. Showed the value Forrest still has for us as part of the squad on a rare off day for Maeda.

Forrest did OK but his shooting was wayward.
I would like to see Yang get some more game time, he has the speed and the physique to match.

Done well when introduced, was direct and created chances for himself, not afraid to get a shot off, OK some were wild but he was having a go.

That one where Johnston picked him out back post has to result in a goal, after taking to long to get the shot off, he firstly can pull it back for Idah on the penalty spot or McCowan coming into the box, then when he has failed to do that and got shut down he has a simple little pass along the 6 yard box for Bernardo unmarked 6 yards out.

The two right at the end are at least a good save and block on the line, whereas that ended in a weak shot dragged wide.

Will go down as our most decorated player and, looking at the next 2 seasons, he could absolutely obliterate the trophy record.

Celtic Football Club is delighted to announce that it has agreed a year-long contract extension with James Forrest which will run until the summer of 2026.

The winger made his first team debut for the Hoops in 2010 and has gone on to make over 500 appearances for the club, scoring over 100 goals, registering over 100 assists and lifting 24 honours so far, making him the second most decorated Celt of all time currently.

James’ longevity in the green and white was rewarded with a testimonial at the beginning of last season, an honour which has only been bestowed upon a handful of Celts throughout the years.

Speaking to Celtic TV after putting pen to paper on a year-long extension of his contract, James said: “It’s unbelievable. I’ve loved every minute of being here, from being a wee boy coming through the youth and all the ups that I’ve had playing for the first team.

“I’m just delighted that I’ve managed to work hard and hopefully I can keep contributing to the team for another year.

“There’s always been great players and managers at this club, and being a part of this club is a great feeling and once I finish my career I’ll properly look back and think about it all.

“When you’re in the bubble of it, there’s nothing better than playing and winning things here.”

Manager, Brendan Rodgers said: "This announcement is brilliant news for the club.

"James has given everything to Celtic and so much to me personally, but make no mistake, he has so much more to give.

"I look at last season and this one already, and see a player undoubtedly who will still deliver for us.

"He is a born winner, someone with such talent and desire and I know he can play a hugely important role in bringing us continued success.

"His heart and passion will always be with Celtic and I am so pleased he has decided to extend his contract."
