Don't get me wrong....I have him pesters after the last hun game he started. Was rotten. But....to not use him at all has been our own downfall.
He's adapted his game and has a more mature head and style.
If we can get a good 60 mins or 30 off the bench then all the better forbus

Is next year his last year? Have zero issues with him being in and around the squad next year. He's also great for seeing games out and experience of a winning culture around lots of change.

He's a very quiet and pretty private guy it seems, anyone ever heard him mention what he fancies after he hangs his boots up?

A very welcome display of quality from Jamesy, which only further highlights lack of quality we have in the wide areas from a shocking past couple of windows.

Hope he's good for a couple more goals in the next 4 games.

I feel like Jamesy would have another 3-4 years in him if he really knuckled down and adapted his game a bit. Something in the Aaron Mooy mold or similar. Mooy himself showed that you can still be a highly influential attacking player when you're well into your thirties and have no pace

No surprise he's quiet, whenever I've seen him being interviewed he looks nervous as *. He's pretty good friends with Rogic who was also very private.

Even if he can't continue as a winger just having him as a player around the Box is valuable as we just saw, 2 chances and 2 goals, keep him as a potential extra striker.

That's exactly what he's changed up now.
He's been holding the ball up waiting on * catching up.
I can't help but feel I'm getting carried away as a few months ago I wouldn't be starting forrest...impact player at best. Maybe still is. But if we can get 60 mins a week of impact must start
And even on the left he was more useful. Got a good shot cutting inside too.

What a resurgence these last few weeks. Begs the question as to why he was sitting with his thumb up his * while Yang and Palma were playing.

I know he’s been around for a while but surely he’s capable of playing 45/60 minutes every week? Or even every 4/5 days.

Love the way he celebrates by just throwing his arms up now. In a way an overweight celebrity who just scored a penalty in a charity game would do. Very much giving it "Canny believe I've just scored" vibes.

Love him. One of the constants of me growing up watching Celtic. Delighted he's still contributing and seems very settled with his role here.

If Forrest can play 60 minutes, he should start on the left, at least while Maeda's out. In games where we're guaranteed possession and don't need to chase players down, it seems like he can manage that 60, so why not.

I'd keep him for as long as he can play 60 odd minutes and start moving him central to adopt a sort of Commons like role.

It doesn't mean he starts games but with 5 subs to use he'd be handy utilise if we maybe want to slow a game down near the final whistle and just control possession just that little better

If he plays in each of the remaining matches this season he will be on 496 Celtic appearances (no matter what media say).
That will leave him 4 matches short of joining an exclusive list.
Only 17 other Celtic players have reached the 500 appearances mark in the history of the club.
CalMac, on 458, is next on that list after Forrest.
