That’ll be him leaving then. Deserves his testimonial. I’ll be on holiday for it or I’d be going.

If he's off is that just the end for him or will he end up at Motherwell or something. These days 31 isn't old but if his body is hurting he may just feel he wants to go out on a high note. 101 goals, over 100 assists, 11 league titles and potentially a 5th treble.

Hopefully a testimonial is him going out on a high, don't like the idea of him hanging around for another couple years picking up a wage and doing little to nothing, though like McCarthy I wouldn't really blame if they did, it's our fault for giving a player that length of deal knowing injuries could be catching up with them, mad decision to extend him 3 years, should have been more in line with Mooy's year with another year option.

I think he'd probably retire and possibly take up a coaching job or that in the academy? Don't know if it's something he's ever mentioned but..

Don't see him going to another Scottish club. A move to somewhere like the a league for a year or two would be good for him..

Would prefer he stays in some capacity.

I'd give Maedas cup final place to Forrest for his * stupidity last night.

He's more than able to take his place easily.

If we need Maeda to beat ICT then might as well give up the now and let Moley and his Mutants to take the treble the now .

I think injuries have taken their toll on him. No idea where he'll end up now. Surely he'll still want to play for a couple of years yet.

Forrest is 5th choice for a reason, and looked miles off it when he came on against hibs, not sure why you think he can still 'easily' replace anyone in front of him now.

Not sure how you jump from our starting lineup containing maeda in the final and handing the huns a treble, since we're on course for it and he's contributed a huge amount to the team this season, I know the last few weeks haven't been great but that's just a mental take.

It's sad to see how he has struggled the last couple of years. He was brilliant under Rogers.

Glad to see he is getting a testimonial game. It is deserved for all the many years of service to Celtic.

Still has 2yrs contracted left, and while can't see him ever being the outright first choice again there is still value in him in and around the squad.

Testimonial is proof that his time is probably up.

Giving the length of the contact we did was utter madness. 2 years left on it.

I'd guess he'll "retire" and the end of next season. No chance he's surrendering that contract, unless the pay off is one year salary, and the testimonial proceeds.

Honestly, never been a fan. Never saw the hype. Never understood how a player with such natural talent never actually developed past the age of 22.
But he's been a great servant to the club, and leaves with best wishes and mostly fond memories.

He has been a good servant but now is the time to go James, in future you will be lucky to get in the squad next season.

He was done two or three seasons ago.. that's no disrespect to him and I'm not belittling his contribution to Celtic which is phenomenal, its just a fact of life. I think he should take the testimonial and retire with his head held high.
